This Darkness, a review by JimmyTitle : This Darkness (2003) Overview When world-famous genetic engineer Dr. Van Helsing discovers the secret to immortality, his world is ravaged by true-blood vampires. My Impression Non sense and poor vampire movie, where the vampire attack an university professor because he had found a serum to became immortal and want it (sorry but vampires are suppose to be immortal they are no reasons for them to want the serum). Of course the vampire can live in the day, but they are cannibals also... I forgot you must shoot them in the head to kill them... Completly lame and poorly acted... But the catacomb like place where they had filmed the end on a Florida beach is really beautifull and creepy. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen :1, Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, English: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, French: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround Subtitles: English Stars: Devon Sawa Bridgette Wilson Rupert Graves Rufus Sewell Heino Ferch Plot: On a remote Austrian mountain, a filmcrew, three daredevil American snowboarders, and a professional downhill skier have gathered to shoot a spectacular stunt for a TV commercial. The stunt is perilous, but an even greater danger soon appears - known terrorists are hiding near the crew's camp. Now the extreme athletes must use their extraordinary skills for their greatest challenge: to stop a terrorist threat...and escape a treacherous mountain with their lives. Extras: My Thoughts: Extreme sports nuts decide to outrun an avalanche on snowboards and skis to film a commercial but accidentally happen upon an exiled war criminal in hiding who now wants them all dead. Fans of extreme sports will probably love this, but I only found it mildly entertaining. Too many of the stunts looked staged and contrived so it's hard to assess how much is believable. Some great scenery though, both from the landscape and one of the female leads, Bridgette Wilson, aka the wife of tennis star Pete Sampras. Rufus Sewell and Devon Sawa also star. Definitely produced by fans of this genre of sports as the terrorist plot was quite secondary to all the high speed, dangerous aerials from these adrenaline junkies. Just ok. The Initiative (1999-11-16) Writer: Douglas Petrie (Writer) Director: James A. Contner Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Marc Blucas (Riley Finn), Mercedes McNab (Harmony Kendall), Adam Kaufman (Parker Abrams), Bailey Chase (Graham Miller), Leonard Roberts (Forest Gates), Lindsay Crouse (Maggie Walsh), Mace Lombard (Tom), Scott Becker (Lost Freshman) A very fun episode. We are introduced to the initiative. We have a very fun "fight" between Xander and Harmony. And the best thing is Willow trying to cheer up Spike after his "under-performance". Rating: 08. Pangs (1999-11-23) Writer: Jane Espenson (Writer) Director: Michael Lange Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Marc Blucas (Riley Finn), Mercedes McNab (Harmony Kendall), Emma Caulfield (Anya), Leonard Roberts (Forrest Gates), Bailey Chase (Graham Miller), Tod Thawley (Houss, Chumash Spirit), David Boreanaz (Angel), Margaret Easley (Curator), William Vogt (Jamie), Mark Ankeny (Dean Guerrero) A episode I never really liked. Though it has some fun stuff in it. I love all the scenes with Spike. And this episode is the reason for a funny line in the Buffy musical.
