Plot:
After moving to an idyllic home in the countryside, life seems perfect for the Creed family... but not for long. Louis and Rachel Creed and their two young children settle in to a house that sits next door to a pet cemetery - built on ancient Indian burial ground. Their mysterious new neighbor, Jud Crandall (FRED GWYNNE), hides the cemetery's darkest secret... until a family tragedy brings the secret to life. My Thoughts:
This is one of my all time favorite horror movies. As with most of the Stephen King movies... Stephen King himself has a cameo in the movie. This time as the preacher at the funeral for Mrs. Dandridge... the woman that helped the creed family in the beginning of the movie. This movie is one of the few movies that can make me cringe when watching it. actually from 2 things in the movie. First when Jud gets the back of his ankle sliced... the next when he is sliced across both cheeks when he is screaming. Both those look extremely painful to me. I couldn't even imagine. Not to mention.. this is a true horror movie for any parent. It even effected me... I had a time watching this movie when my daughter was about Gage's age... especially considering I live on a road that has a high school just down the street... you would not believe the way kids race up and down this road! There for the longest time I wouldn't even let my daughter play in the front yard at all! Anyway... This is just an awesome horror movie! So I definitely highly recommend it if by chance you never seen it before.

Plot:
While on a hiking trip to reconnect with his son, Ray Keene (John Cusack) stumbles into a nightmare scenario of paid assassins and ex-military guns-for-hire. Frank Cardin (Morgan Freeman) is attempting to fulfill a contract to assassinate a high profile businessman when things go awry and he ends up in the custody of the U.S. Marshalls. After an ill-fated attempt by his compatriots to free him Frank, finds himself in the custody of ex-lawman Ray and his son (Jamie Anderson). As they try to make their way back to civilization they are relentlessly pursued by Frank's friends who are intent on freeing their leader in order to collect on the contract. But one may be more foe than friend.

An ex-cop and his son, while on a hiking trip deep in the woods, apprehend an assassin following a botched rescue attempt from Federal Marshals by his fellow mercenaries. Compelled to do the right thing, he attempts to bring the fugitive to the authorities while trying to preserve the life of his son and his own from the deadly pursuers.

I can't say I've ever watched a Morgan Freeman movie that I disliked and this is no exception. Freeman is stellar as the wily old hitman whom despite having no compunction about killing has moments of conscience towards his erstwhile captors. As strong as his desire to gain his freedom is he hopes to do so without harm coming to a decent man, played by John Cusack, and his bright teenage boy.

Fast paced and suspenseful without an overkill of action, this manages to keep the viewer interested by cat and mouse strategy between the hunters and the hunted. Throw in a betrayal or two to raise the stakes and you have the makings of a very good movie.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer



What's the show about?
Buffy Summers is The Chosen One, a teenage girl that was chosen by destiny to fight vampires, demons and other underworld beings. But she has help in form of her friends, her watcher and even vampires.

What happened before?
She lived in Los Angeles before. There she learnt of her status as The Chosen One and there she began to slay vampires until she had to burn down the school gym.

"Welcome to the Hellmouth" / "The Harvest"
Buffy and her mother have just moved to Sunnydale, California, after the events depicted in the movie. She wants to leave her Slayer days behind her but for that is Sunnydale the completely wrong place. Why? Because Sunnydale lies directly over a Hellmouth, an opening to the hell dimension and The Master has just been awakened...

My Opinion
Didn't like the show. Was very boring with that vampire-killing and so on. Yeah right! That's why I watched all 7 season within a month - and bought "Angel" afterwards.
