Sirens, a review by RichSirens Slow film which appeared to just have the intention of showing naked women, and occasionally some naked men, literally through the whole 90 minutes. Thin uninteresting plot typecasts Grant again as a bumbling handsome innocent, and Neill yet again in a totally undemanding role. There is slight charm involved with the awakening of innocence, but in truth this movie is worth forgetting. (From Riches Random Reviews on May 27th, 2009) Street Tales of Terror, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Street Tales of Terror Year: 2005 Director: J. D. Hawkins, Frank Corey Sheilds Rating: R Length: 87 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1 Subtitles: Spanish Stars: The StorytellerCorey Shields Timothy Eric Staci Harris Loco Troy Hogan Plot: STREET TALES OF TERROR is the Story of three killer thugs: J Dog, Keith and Peaches who terrorize a homeless man who witnessed them commit murder. While pleading for his life, the homeless man tells the trio of three "true" tales of terror and revenge. "THE RECKONING" follows the story of Jessica, a little girl who is left to drown on dry land by her classmates after she is pushed into a swimming pool. On her birthday twenty years later, Jessica comes back to settle the score! "THE CLINIC" is the second tale about Jaleesa Daniels, a young lady who is about to have an abortion. While waiting she has a series of visits that question her decision and her sanity. Are the dreams real or in her head? "GRADUATION NIGHT" set in 1975, this tale follows what happens when a college student is raped during a mid-term party. As the final graduation night party ends, a special guest shows up to make the party livelier - DEADLIER! Extras: Scene Access Bonus Trailers My Thoughts: I decided on this one because this morning I wanted to watch something horror... but also wanted to watch something I haven't seen in a long time. The first thing I noticed is that this one has forced trailers that you can not skip any way. I tried to hit the menu key, I tried hitting Next and I even tried to just fast forward through them... with no luck what so ever. The movie itself is a low budget anthology. The acting definitely leaves a lot to be desired. But at the same time there is something a bit on the entertaining side as well at least in one or two of the segments. Though over-all not one I would recommend. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Month Long Birthday Marathon on May 7th, 2011) Babylon 5: Marathon, a review by DJ DoenaDisc 2 Voices of Authority Synopsis: Draal invites Sheridan to Epsilon 3 to search and contact the First Ones but Sheridan is distracted with the arrival of his new political officer from Earth. My opinion: The direction in which Earth policy is developing is quite alarming. Did anyone recognize the off-voice to whom Clark was speaking? It was Mr. Morden's voice, so the Shadows are also involved in the murder of the former Earth Alliance president Santiago. Dust to Dust Synopsis: Someone smuggles a drug called "Dust" onto the station. Dust gives temporarily teep abilites to normal humans. But it has strong side effects and is highly addictive. Bester comes to the station to catch these dealers, too. My opinion: One does not know it yet, but this is a very important episode in G'Kar's character developement and I also liked the idea of disabling Bester's abilities via the sleeper drugs Ivanova's mother was forced to take. Exogenesis Synopsis: There is an alien parasite that takes over the bodies of lurkers in down below. But the parasites aren't what they appear to be. My opinion: The idea of symbiotes who keep the knowledge of the universe is interesting and the story was well told. Messages From Earth Synopsis: During archiological diggings a Shadow vessel is found on the Jupiter moon Ganymede. This has happend before on a digging on Mars several years back. But back then another Shadow vessel nourished the first on and both escaped. Bujt this time Earth wants the knowledge of that ship and the Babylon 5 crew cannot allow to let the ship fall into Earths hand. My opninion: Great action flick. It shows what the White Star is capable of. Sheridan had to take a stand. His own government in league with the shadows wasn't something he could bear and he made his point very clearly although no one on Earth knows it - yet.
