My Thoughts:
For some reason this movie didn't really click for me. One of the reasons is probably because Bond is too much of an asshole in this one. He is really forcing himself onto women here. Even going so far as to blackmail a woman into sex.
And he stayed an asshole until the end. There Domino came with another man "who has helped her", and as the boat is about to crash, he pushes the man overboard telling him "I will get you later", and flies away to safety with Domino. The man probably wasn't pretty enough
Highlights: Q was fun as always. And Domino is one hot Bond girl!

Rating: 15
Length: 86 Min.

Dean Cain as Buzz

Plot:
It's a special day for Jesse Chandler in more ways than one.. Not only is it the day he gets out of jail after three long, hard years but it is also the day he gets married to his long suffering girlfriend, Hope. When his three best buddies meet him at the prison gates all dressed up in their dinner suits and bow ties, Jesse knows life can be sweet, that is until Billy decides to rob the town bank because he needs a little cash. Spectacular stunts, great action, sparkling dialogue and some unexpected twists plus Superman Dean Cain in his first motion picture and Drew Barrymore hot from the Wedding Singer all make Best Men one of the action comedies of the year.

My Thoughts:
I have bought this DVD years ago when I was buying anything with Drew Barrymore in it. Though she has a rather small role in it, I liked her performance. Also the rest of the cast was of interest to me.
This was the first time I saw Dean Cain in anything other than Lois & Clark. He had an interesting role here.
I still enjoyed this movie this time around, though not as much as in the past. By the way, the bus in the end is the bus from the movie "Speed". Number 2525.

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Gossip Girl

What's the show about?
Gossip Girl belongs to a group of students who live in Manhattan's upper east side and they are rich - really rich. The "outsiders" of this group are Dan and Jenny Humphrey who live in Brooklyn but go to the same private school as the others. It's a show about love, life and intrigues and the one person who blogs about all this: Gossip Girl. Nobody knows who she is, but she and her network of "informants" know everything.

"Pilot"
The new school year has begun and Dan is now a junior. And one event will change his life and that of the others forever: Serena van der Woodsen is back from her year on boarding school and she will go to their school again. S is D's big love but she doesn't even know he exists and S and Queen B have some unfinished business.

My Opinion
The show is very intriguing with all these characters that have their own agendas, with their love and revenge plottings and in the middle of it Dan who so doesn't really fit into this world yet is bound to become the ultimate insider. And I love Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) as the voice of Gossip Girl. I never watched shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 or The O.C. but this show I really like, I even bought (and read) the book by Cecily von Ziegesar on which the show is based on:
