Trances, a review by Danae Cassandra

Trances
Year of Release: 1981
Directed By: Ahmed El Maanouni
Starring: Nass El Ghiwane
Genre: Documentary, Music

Overview:My Thoughts:
Music is the voice and soul of the people. Part concert film, part interview, part documentary, Trances is an interesting look at Moroccan culture and music. It's worth seeing for Nass El Ghiwane's music alone, which is really wonderful. If you like folk music, or world music, you need to watch this film (or at least listen to it).

Bechdel Test: Fail

Overall: 3.5/5

The Royal Tenenbaums, a review by snowcat

Review

The Royal Tenenbaums features a cast of Wes Anderson regulars although it also sees a new technique in Wes Andersons film making style narration, which only helps but lift the dead pan spirit of the film

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

18. Vatman (3/13/94)
Superman discovers there's a powerful new villain in town: Superman! Lex Luthor develops a Superman clone with all his powers and just one goal: destroy the real Man of Steel.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode... but there was something about the way that Dean Cain played being child-like that I didn't much care for. I did like the storyline itself though.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5
