The Brady 500
Bobby (now a racecar driver) makes it to the Nashville 500 where he is in a serious car-wreck and is paralyzed from the waist down. The family rallys around him in his efforts to recover. Marcia and husband, Wally (who has lost another job) and their kids, are living with Mike & Carol. Jan and her husband, Phillip are attempting to get pregnant and in the end adopt an Asian girl, Patty. Peter breaks up with his fiancee, Valerie and becomes quite the playboy. Cindy is a radio DJ and starts to date her boss. Greg, following Bobby's car-wreck debates whether to change his specialty.

My Thoughts:
Well... we just finished watching this one. Another good reunion movie. Even though this one is not an official reunion movie. It is actually the 2 parter pilot episode of the TV Series "The Bradys". But the studio edited it together long ago... airing it several times as a TV Movie. Changing the name to "The Brady 500"... so I think it is ok to consider it a TV movie. It is a good TV movie.. but I do have one major complaint. Unfortunately Maureen McCormick decided not to come back to play Marcia... so it was weird to see someone else in that part. It just didn't feel right without Maureen McCormick in the role.

My Thoughts
I really didn't know what to watch tonight. I knew I felt like watching a movie, as opposed to playing games, but I was not in any particular mood. So what I did is I closed my eyes, and "felt" my way through my unwatched pile, and watched the movie on which my hand stopped. And so The Thomas Crown Affair it was.

So, what did I think of it? Well, I don't really know. I guess it wasn't what I was expecting. I don't know where I got that from, but I was expecting some sort of suspenseful thriller. What I got, is a thriller alright, but more a romantic thriller.

I loved the opening scene. Never having seen the original, I really didn't know what was going on. And to open on a heist to steal a painting, really sets the story in motion in a great way. Unfortunately, it kinda drags all the way through to the reveal of the painting's fate. Sure, there's a few highlights. The dance scene is nice, although both of them aren't really dancers. The sex scene is fun too, and I must say, while I never cared much for René Russo, she is strikingly beautiful in this movie. And no, I'm not saying this only because we see her topless a few times . But all in all, it is quite boring in my opinion. It plays too much like a romance movie sandwhiched between two action scenes.

You know, it could be the ultimate chick flick for boyfriend. Opens with a good action scene, develops the romance, closes on an action scene. With sex and nudity thrown in for good measure.

Thomas Crown is an OK movie, but not something I'll necessarily be eager to watch again.

I forgot to mention something. The soundtrack is awesome! The choice of the songs is wonderful. It might have something to do with the fact that it is very jazz oriented, and well, I love jazz. I even let the credits roll, twice, just to listen to the song (Windmill of Your Mind by Sting)

"Stargate SG-1" Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Synopsis: The Galarans have developed a device that can implant memories. This could become an easy way to train new pilots in a matter of weeks. But then Mitchell is accused of murder and he can remember doing it. Due to his immunity there will be no trial but he insists on clearing his name.

My Opinion: It was nice to learn something about Cameron's background an his life before the Antarctica battle. And they made me suspect the wrong person. But the Galarans made the wrong choice at the end of the episode. If I can avoid being punished just because I can't remember what I did - what would stop me of doing it again and make me forget again?

Synopsis: SG-1 returns from a mission but in the debriefing they insist that Selmak is still alive. But then SG-1 returns from a mission. And another SG-1 returns from a mission. And another SG-1...

My Opinion: Great episode. I liked it a lot, especially to see some characters again (Martouf, Dr. Frasier). I also liked the Asgard, he (she?) was really funny. Too bad, they didn't make an expanded version of the episode, with all the materials they had to cut out.

Synopsis: Strange things happen within the Jaffa High Council. A motion for more democracy is voted down by members who have been in favour of it just recently. Teal'c wants to get to the bottom of things and disappears.
Meanwhile an old friend of Cameron's who should have been on the F-302 program is dying and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

My Opinion: A very emotional episode which I also liked. Both parts of the story worked very well. I even had to admit that Ba'al may have a point when he proposed his plan to Teal'c.
