WHIP IT, the directorial debut of Drew Barrymore, stars Ellen Page (Juno, Inception) as Bliss, a rebellious Texas teen who throws in her small town beauty pageant crown for the rowdy world of roller derby. Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River, Pollock) plays Bliss' dissaproving mother, while Kristen Wiig (Saturday Night Live) and Juliette Lewis (Old School) play roller-derby stars.

Also starring Eve, Jimmy Fallon, and Daniel Stern.

My Thoughts:
Ellen Page stars as a teenager who goes against her parents wishes and instead of going to a beauty peagant she enters the brutal sport of roller derby.
I had fun watching this movie. This is Drew Barrymore's directorial debut and I think she did a good job.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I haven't seen since it was first released. That means the last time I saw this movie it was actually on VHS! So needless to say it was like watching it again for the first time... as I really remembered nothing about the movie going into it this morning. And I must admit... I enjoyed it quite a bit. The bickering back and forth between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence was entertaining. And all the gun fights and explosions was a lot of fun to watch as well. Now I may have to pop in Bad Boys II as I never got the chance to sen that one before.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

7.10 Bring On The Night
Writer: Marti Noxon (Screenwriter), Douglas Petrie (Screenwriter)
Director: David Grossman
Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Emma Caulfield (Anya), Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn Summers), James Marsters (Spike), Alyson Hannigan (Willow), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Kristine Sutherland (Joyce), Tom Lenk (Andrew), Iyari Limon (Kennedy), Clara Bryant (Molly), Courtnee Draper (Annabelle), Juliet Landau (Drusilla), DB Woodside (Principal Wood), Camden Toy (Ubervamp), Chris Wiley (Roger)

The first potential slayers are coming in. Among them Kennedy. I know that she is not very well liked among fans (especially Willow/Tara) fans, but I never really had anything against her, except that she acted sometimes really irresponsible.

7.11 Showtime
Writer: David Fury (Screenwriter)
Director: Michael Grossman
Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Emma Caulfield (Anya), Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn Summers), James Marsters (Spike), Alyson Hannigan (Willow), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Tom Lenk (Andrew), Iyari Limon (Kennedy), Clara Bryant (Molly), Indigo (Rona), Amanda Fuller (Eve), Camden Toy (Ubervamp), Lalaine (Chloe), Felicia Day (Vi)

A good episode. It's also the first appearance of Vi, played by Felicia Day ("The Guild", "Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog"). She is one of the reasons I was looking forward to watch season seven again. The last time I watched it, I didn't know her yet and I didn't remember her. No wonder. Her role is quite small. She even only appears during the ending credits.
