OverviewRoy Scheider lends his immense talent to this taut action-adventure from director William Friedkin. Set on the edge of a South American jungle, a desperate four-man team, led by Scheider, must transport a cargo of nitroglycerin over 200 miles of treacherous terrain in order to stop a potentially disasterous oil fire.

Enter into this explosive mix of split-second strategy and jolting suspense set against an outstanding scor by Tangerine Dream.
My thoughtsI have an old p&s DVD of SorcererSorcerer to be a remake of The Wages of FearThe Wages of Fear; it is a lot scarier than most horror films. Regardless of if you have seen The Wages of Fear or not, this is a film that deserves your attention. And if you haven't seen The Wages of Fear, you should really get the Criterion BD of that one. But don't watch both the same day...

A note of warning: Only the blu-ray has the restored version. The DVD with the same cover image that Warner released the same day is just the old p&s release recycled. Shame on you, Warner!

Green for Danger, a review by Antares

Green for Danger (1946) 4/5 - This turned out to be a glorious delight. I had never heard of it, but I've been on an Alastair Sim kick as of late, and seeing as how Criterion felt it was worthy of a spine #, decided to check it out. I love a good murder mystery and this film delivers in spades. The screenplay has just the right amount of twists and turns to divert you from guessing the murderer, mixed in with with ample amounts of great British dry humor. At times, the acting of the principle cast came across as a little wooden and stagey, but Alastair Sim more than made up for it with his wry delivery of lines and his propensity for scene stealing. If you haven't seen this yet, seek it out, it's a good film for a lazy weekend afternoon when the weather is uncooperative.

House M.D.: Season One, a review by addicted2dvd

House M.D.: Season One (2004/United States)

Go deeper into the medical mysteries of House, TV's most compelling new drama. Hugh Laurie stars as the brilliant but sarcastic Dr. Gregory House, a maverick physician who is devoid of bedside manner. While his behavior can border on antisocial, Dr. House thrives on the challenge of solving the medical puzzles that other doctors give up on. Together with his hand-picked team of young medical experts, he'll do whatever it takes in the race against the clock to solve the case. It's the intriguing new series 'TV Guide's' Matt Roush hails as "...the uncommon cure for the common medical drama."

My Thoughts:
After finding out I will be getting season 6 given to me here soon... I just couldn't help myself. I had to start watching this series. I need to remind myself of the characters and storylines before watching the new set when it gets here. The first time I watched this set I really didn't care much for the first several episodes... as I really didn't care much for the character of House. But once he grew on me I loved the show. I of course didn't have this problem this time around and ended up enjoying every minute of it.... right from the start. If you never got around to checking out this series... I highly recommend it!
