Daredevil: Director's Cut, a review by addicted2dvdDaredevil My Thoughts: I have seen this movie before... but it has been a long time. And then it was only the Theatrical Version of the movie. This is the first time I ever seen the Director's Cut. I definitely noticed quite a bit that was new to this version. And what was added in made the movie better then I remember the theatrical cut being. There is a lot of great fighting in this movie... but I must say my favorite had to be the playful fight between Matt Murdoch and Elektra in the playground. I thought everyone did a fine job in this movie. As for the casting I think they got a couple characters cast perfectly. I couldn't picture anyone else playing either Elektra or Kingpin. Anyway... I enjoyed the movie quite a bit... and thrilled I got it today for Father's Day. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Superhero Marathon on June 21st, 2009) Go, a review by TomTitle: Go Year: 1999 Director: Doug Liman Rating: FSK-16 Length: 98 Min. Nicely executed story which is told from different point of views. To be precise, it shows the story of different sets of characters and how they intertwine. Similar to Pulp Fiction. This movie is one I constantly have to think of because of two reasons: 1) Everytime I watch a Columbia Pictures movie, I expect their logo at the beginning to be interrupted the same way as in this movie. It just stuck in my mind for some reason. 2) When I was on the search for a new user name a few year ago, I just had recently watched this movie and the name Todd Gaines just stuck in my head. I replaced "Todd" with my similar sounding real first name and "TomGaines" was born You may remember one of my old avatars, which is a screenshot from this movie of the character Todd Gaines Maybe I should switch back to it some day. Features all six episodes of the highly-acclaimed premiere season, in which the trio's shaky grasp on reality is challenged by such things as the arrival of the world's worst funfair and the All Priests Stars-in-Their-Eyes Competition. Good Luck, Father Ted Ted gets his chance to be on TV when he is to be interviewed by a magazine programme. But 'FunLand', the most pathetic travelling fair ever invented has come to Craggy Island, and while Ted is distracted with Father Jack, Dougal seizes his moment of glory. My Review: Witty and intelligent comedy, that literally created a cult following in UK. It felt a bit disjointed as the actors feel their way into their roles, and begin working together for the first time. Ardal O'Hanlon has the best lines in this opener, with Frank 'Feck Off' Kelly in top form. Personally I never found Dermot Morgan funny, but obviously a great loss nonetheless that he died young. It's a nice blend of British comedy, at times quite subtle and character based, at others in your face brash and crass. I've probaly seen 20 or so episodes at different times over the years, but will one day plan to watch the whole series in order, I will, I will, I will.
