New in Town, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars:Plot: Award-winning actress Renee Zellweger stars as Lucy Hill, a high-powered executive in love with her upscale Miami lifestyle. Seeking to snag a big promotion, Lucy agrees to move to a remote Minnesota town to oversee the restructuring of a blue collar manufacturing plant. After enduring icy roads, freezing weather and a chilly reception from the locals, she soon warms up to the small town and its people - especially the town's handsome union representative (Harry Connick, Jr.). What begins as a job assignment becomes the best thing ever to happen to her in this heartwarming comedy that proves that the warmest people are often in the coldest places. Extras:
My Thoughts: I found this one to be fun. Is entertaining enough to keep my attention with ease... but like most Rom-Coms it is very predictable. Definitely worth the time put in to watch it. Rating: (From What Movies I Been Watching on August 28th, 2017) My Soul to Take, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Max Thieriot as Bug John Magaro as Alex Denzel Whitaker as Jerome Zena Grey as Penelope Nick Lashaway as Brandon Paulina Olszynski as Brittany Plot: On the day the Riverton Ripper vanished without a trace, seven children were born. Today, they're all turning 16...and turning up dead. Legendary director Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream) keeps your heart racing with a suspense-thriller filled with twists, turns and a dark secret that will send your soul searching for cover. My Thoughts: I went into this one without even seeing a trailer for the film. Unfortunately the reviews I have read on it has been less then stellar. More then one going as far as saying it is the worst piece of work to come from Wes Craven. So needless to say I went into this one with low expectations. Though going in with the low expectations really didn't help much. While the film has it's moments here and there.. I really didn't think too much of this one. I found I really didn't care much for the characters... and the storyline just didn't keep my interest. I found myself doing other things while the movie played in the background. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Addicted2DVD's Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon on October 7th, 2013) Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon, a review by Tom20. The Yoko Factor (2000-05-09) Writer: Doug Petrie (Writer) Director: David Grossman Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Marc Blucas (Riley Finn), James Marsters (Spike), Amber Benson (Tara), Leonard Roberts (Forrest Gates), Conor O'Farrell (Colonel McNamara), George Hertzberg (Adam), Emma Caulfield (Anya), David Boreanaz (Angel), Bob Fimiani (Mr. Ward), Jade Carter (Lieutenant) A good episode. It is a good idea that Spike tries to split the Scoobies up by creating a rift between them. Though in my opinion this happened too easily.
