Night of the Living Dead (2006), a review by addicted2dvd

Night of the Living Dead (2006)
In this all new 3-D remake of the popular 1968 horror classic, Barb and her brother Johnny arrive late for the burial of their aunt and walk straight into a nightmare!

My Thoughts:
While not terrible... this has to be my least favorite version of Night of the Living Dead. I found I really didn't care for any of the characters. And I just couldn't get into the storyline they put to this version. I also think they could have went heavier on the blood and gore. It was pretty minimal considering it is a zombie movie. Really... the more I sit here thinking about it as I type this... the less I enjoyed it. As I am having a hard time trying to think of what I did enjoy about it. This is one that I don't think I would bother getting on DVD.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Men in Black, a review by Dragonfire

Agent Jay (Will Smith) and Agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) are turning up the heat on alien terrorists and delivering hot new technology at the same time. Experience the galaxy's biggest sci-fi hit with a universe of exclusive special features, including 3 scene editing workshops, technical commentary and more!

My Thoughts

I really enjoy this movie.  It has a wonderful mix of adventure, humor, and science fiction that works really well to make a very entertaining movie.  The aliens are unique and interesting.  I enjoyed how Jay was recruited to the Men in Black and adjusted to working with Kay.  Several of the things that Jay does make me laugh.  His reactions to some of the situations are really funny and help to make the movie more entertaining.  Some of what happens is a little silly, but it still manages to work well for the plot overall. I think the special effects were done well.

I posted a longer review on Epinions several years ago if anyone wants to take a look.

Charmed Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Disc 6:

"Apocalypse Not"
Original Airdate: May 11, 2000
Piper, Phoebe and Leo must rescue Prue, who has become trapped in a vortex with one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... though basically a filler episode. Nothing really all that special about it.

"Be Careful What You Witch For"
Original Airdate: May 18, 2000
Prue is killed and Piper and Phoebe are powerless to reverse the deadly damage when a fast-talking genie working for a Dragon Warlock grants each of the sisters a wish.

My Thoughts:
they decided to end this season with more of a fun episode then something serious. They had French Stewert to guest star as the genie... which I doubted the first time I heard about it... but he actually did a good job. It is kinda odd how they temporarily killed Prue in this episode what with what happens at the end of the next season.

Over-All Season 2 Thoughts:
Over-all I felt this was a good strong season. I am kinda glad Dan (Piper's boyfriend neighbor) is now gone... as I never much liked that character. Unfortunately this season has no extras what so ever... besides basic promo trailers on the first disc.
