Deathwatch, a review by Boomstick98

Deathwatch (2002)  ;D

Plot: In the brutal trench fighting of the First World War, a British Infantry Company is separated from their regiment after a fierce battle. Attempting to return to their lines, the British soldiers discover what appears to be a bombed out German trench, abandoned except for a few dazed German soldiers. After killing most of the Germans, and taking one prisoner, the British company fortifies to hold the trench until reinforcements can arrive. Soon, however, strange things being to happen as a sense of evil descends on the trench and the British begin turn on each other.

My O: This is my 2nd time watching this film and one of the better blind buys I ever made. I really like this movie. The idea of a haunting in a trench during the first World War is great and its pulled off pretty well. There are no visible threats other than the soldiers themselves for the majority of the film, but it only helps to build the suspense and atmosphere. You really get to see the mental breakdown of the soldiers from being secluded in a trench in the middle of nowhere with no outside contact. Definately give this one a chance.

My Thoughts:
After watching "Koi... mi gaya" I had the urge to watch the sequel "Krrish" again
I enjoyed it just as much as the first time around, if not even more so. It may be because it combines all my favorite genres. It is a superhero movie, a romantic comedy and a musical. And it also has time-travel elements in it as the villain builds a computer (with the help of Rahit's supernatural intelect) which can look into the future.

Veronica Mars Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Season 1: Disc 3

Episode 9: Drinking the Kool-Aid
Drugs. Polygamy. Fraud. That's what Veronica looks for when she infiltrates a cult that has won the heart, soul, and bank account of a wealthy classmate. So why is everyone so darn nice?

My Thoughts:
This episode if pretty good. not one of my favorites though. It's just that there is nothing really special about it.

Episode 10: An Echolls Family Christmas
California Hold 'em. Weevil's the big winner at Logan Echolls' poker party but the $5,000 pot disappears. Keith attends the Echolls' swank Christmas party to discover who's been stalking Logan's father.

My Thoughts:
This was just a fun episode... had 2 single episode mysteries... and both of them was really entertaining. Obviously this is the first season Christmas episode.

Episode 11: Silence of the Lamb
Work ethic. While Keith helps the new sheriff search for a serial killer, Veronica goes into business doing background checks on her classmates' parents, which leads to a stunning revelation for her friend Mac.

My Thoughts:
This was a good episode. I liked that they did one on a serial killer... as they always make good stories for some reason. I also really enjoyed the sub-story of Veronica doing background checks on the other kids' parents... who wouldn't have loved an opportunity like that when we were kids?

Episode 12: Clash of the Tritons
You booze, you lose. The parents of a boy who's comatose after a bout of heavy drinking believe Veronica provided his fake I.D. The attempt to clear her name leads Veronica to a secret on-campus society.

My Thoughts:
This one really didn't impress me all that much... I mean it was ok... but a bit slow for my taste. It just didn't feel like all that much happened... and the story of the fake ID's just didn't hold my interest at all for some reason. Definitely could have been better.
