Plot:
Love knows no boundaries when a fiery lesbian love affair between two Romanian students is put to the test. It's Alex's first year at university and her world turned upside-down when she meets savvy and sexy Kiki. Despite her lover's baggage, the naive freshman falls head over heels in love.
But threatening their bliss is Kiki's emotionally explosive brother whose attachment to her seems downright incestuous. Directed with a poetic eye, Love Sick spins its quick wit and hard-edged romance into a sublimely sensual portrait of first love.

My Thoughts:
This is my first Romanian movie. I always was interested seeing one, since I work daily with Romanian colleagues. But they couldn't recommend me a good one. Last week I stumbled across this one while browsing Amazon.
I enjoyed this movie. On Wikipedia it is said to be often compared to "My Summer of Love". There are some similarities, but I enjoyed "Love Sick" more.

Back to the Future, a review by DJ Doena

Michael J. Fox    ...    Marty McFly
Christopher Lloyd   ...    Dr. Emmett Brown
Lea Thompson   ...    Lorraine Baines McFly
Crispin Glover   ...    George McFly
Thomas F. Wilson   ...    Biff Tannen
Claudia Wells   ...    Jennifer Parker
James Tolkan   ...    Mr. Strickland

Synopsis: Marty McFly is an ordinary 17-year-old highschool student in the year 1985. But he also happens to have a weird friend, a scientist who invents a lot of stuff that doesn't work. But this time he has done it. He invented a time machine and he has built it into a DeLorean sports car. But he had to con some Lybians out of their Plutonium and that would become his death sentence. Marty has no choice but to flee before them and he does. The time machine brings him to 1955 where he has to find the Doc again in order to bring him home. But he also runs into his parents and that's where the real trouble starts.

My Opinion: If asked for a top ten movie list, this movie would be in it. I enjoy the entire trilogy very much (and I will continue watching as soon as I finished this review). Marty and the Doc are a great pair and it's fun to watch them. I also really enjoyed the entire idea that a teen could actually observe the teenage years of his parents and see that they weren't that different.
One of my favourite scenes is when Marty disguises as Darth Vader from the planet Vulcan and plays Van Halen music (he was also sent by the Supreme Klingon", but that was cut out, I read it in the novelization of the movie).

And if there's anyone out there who isn't familiar with the story, here is it:

Babylon 5: Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Disc 6

Comes the Inquisitor

Synopsis: A human arrives at the station in a Vorlon vessel and he is about to interrogate Delenn, because the Vorlons want to make sure that she is the right person in the right place at the right time.

My opinion: I've been waiting for this episode since Sheridan has taken command of the station. After the shadows got their question "What do you want?", the Vorlons now have one of their own: "Who are you?" I really like the inquisition because the actor of Sebastian played it very plausable. And I really liked the revelation who he really was. Also, Delenn and Sheridan are getting closer with every episode. I don't know what would have happend in the original draft of the story, but I've got the feeling they had to rush Sheridan into the position Sinclair previously held. Within one year he gets very close to both Delenn and Kosh, closer than Sinclair has ever been. But it serves the story well.

   The Fall of Night

Synopsis: After the victory over the Narn, the Centauri attack other races as well and the Earth Alliance plans to sign a non-aggression pact with them. Meanwhile one of the last (the last) Narn battle cruisers arrives heavily damaged at the station and is hidden behind the planet. But the Centauri get wind of it and send a battle cruiser of their own.

My opinion: Another great finale. I must admit, there isn't a season finale I didn't like, I even like the one between the fourth and the fifth season. But the battle between Babylon 5, the Narn and the Centauri cruiser and the flight of Kosh afterwards? Magnificent. And the circle is closed. The Starfury pilot who saw the shadow vessel for the first time very early in this season ("A Distant Star") saw it now for the second but last time. But the long-kept secret is out: there is a new (or better: a very old) race out there.

Season analysis: As I said before, I liked Sinclair, but Sheridan is so much better. In this season most of the things have been set in motion that are essential for the following years. In my personal rankings of the seasons it takes the third place (first place is the third season; second place is the fourth season).
