Stalingrad, a review by Rich

This film is a gritty, devastating retelling of the battle for Stalingrad during World War II, in which more than a million and a half soldiers lost their lives. Told from the point of view of the German soldiers, who were under orders to neither retreat nor surrender, this film realistically portrays the brutality of combat.

Having read so many good reviews for this film, I felt slightly disappointed afterwards. It certainly would have more impact in it's original language, the dubbing sounded Monty Pythonesque and detracted from the films moving content. Graphic war scenes, harsh and bitter tale from the soldiers perspective, the film just didn't quite have enough to make it a classic IMO  5/10

This, while it is a fun film, is far from their best work. The plot is good even if it is a little on the hectic side. And some of the skits seen in this one I have seen in other movies of theirs. And hey we have some nice looking "native" dancing girls! So over all I would say it is still worth the time put in to watch it. Just don't go in expecting too much.

The season one finale. I enjoyed it and it was a great conclusion for this season.
I liked that they lost the competition and only get another chance for a second year because Sue had a change of heart and shows compassion for the Glee club.

Brittana:
Linking pinkies during Will's performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"

Notable music:
Vocal Adreneline's performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" was good, but cannot beat Queen's original. They just don't have any heart to it (which may be the point).

I enjoyed the Journey medley they perform at the competition. Especially their redux of "Don't Stop Believing" which they first sang in the first episode:

Another good song was the last one in this episode when Will is singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to the kids.
