Django and Sartana's Showdown in the West, a review by GSyren

TitleDjango and Sartana's Showdown in the West (011301-660060)
DirectorDemofilo Fidani, Diego Spataro
ActorsJack Betts, Franco Borelli, Simone Blondell, Benito Pacifico, Calso Faria
Produced1970 in Italy
Runtime83 minutes
AudioEnglish Dolby Digital Mono
SubtitlesNone
My thoughtsSomeone has called Demofilo Fidani "The Ed Wood of spaghetti westerns". That's not fair. He (with co-director Spataro, together using the alias "Dick Spitfire" here) is nowhere near as inept as Ed Wood. And consequently doesn't achieve the same level of "so bad it's good". This is just rather dull. It becomes almost comical at times, because the stunt arranger goes overboard and turns every guy that is shot into an acrobat. Nobody just falls down dead in this movie. Gordon Mitchell is the token American, and plays a deliciously crazy gang leader that talks to himself in a mirror. And even plays cards with himself. Unfortunately we never get to see who wins... :) Summed up in one word: "Meh"
My rating2,5 out of 5

While You Were Sleeping, a review by addicted2dvd

While You Were Sleeping

My Thoughts:
This is another one of this month's blind buys. I bought it solely to add to my Sandra Bullock collection.... though I have had some people tell me this is her best romantic comedy role. I don't know if I would say "The Best"... there is still several I never seen... as well as a couple that I would rank right up there with it... but it is definitely one of her best. I did enjoy every minute of it. Unfortunately the only extra on this release is some trailers. But at least it does have the Theatrical trailer.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

24

What's the show about?
Jack Bauer works for the CTU, the Counter Terrorist Unit. He saves the United States more than once but he has only 24 hours to do so and not a minute more. And for this job he has to sacrifice everything: his family life, his health, his career and even his life.

"12:00a.m. - 01:00a.m."
Today is the day of the California presidential primary. Jack Bauer's unit has to prevent an attack on the black senator Palmer, a likely candidate for becoming the next president of the United States. Meanwhile Jack's daughter has sneaked out of the house and has disappeared.

My Opinion
24 is a great show even if the stories have become absurd lateley. They are fast running out of threats they didn't fight before. After watching the trailer of the seventh season I had the feeling it will be a mix of Die Hard 2 and 4, but I am willing to tune in. ;)
