Lady Frankenstein, a review by addicted2dvd

Lady Frankenstein
When Dr. Frankenstein is killed by a monster of his own creation, his daughter and his lab assistant Marshall continue his experiments. The two fall in love and attempt to transplant Marshall's brain into the muscular body of their servant Stephen. Meanwhile, the first monster seeks revenge on the grave robbers who sold the body parts used in it creation.

My Thoughts:
This is one of the movies in one of those Low-Budget 10 movies on 5 DVDs horror boxsets... in this case the Tales of Terror box set. This one is an ok movie... nothing that really struck me as anything special. Was a bit on the slow side for my taste.

My thoughts

It's a fascinating film. The DVD from the Karel Zeman Museum in Prague is probably the best quality in which this film has been shown outside of theatrical performances. Those weaned on modern fast moving CGI action films may perhaps find this slow and possibly boring. I absolutely loved it, though. Highly recommended!

Tom's TV Pilots marathon, a review by Tom

Golden Girls: The Complete Series (1985/United States)
IMDb | Wikipedia

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment (Germany)

The Golden Girls
Season 1.01 Pilot (aka "The Engagement")
Writer: Susan Harris (Writer)
Director: Jay Sandrich
Cast: Beatrice Arthur (Dorothy), Betty White (Rose), Rue McClanahan (Blanche), Estelle Getty (Sophia), Charles Levin (Coco), Frank Aletter (Harry), F. William Parker (The Minister), Meshach Taylor (The Cop)

I never really followed the Golden Girls, but I always watched it, when I caught it on TV. Recently I encounter a lot of articles, that The Golden Girls is one of the shows, which really holds up after 30+ years. And as I always like Betty White and remembered enjoying her on the series, and also Estelle Getty, I thought I would finally get me the series.
The first episode was good and had some really funny lines. I especially liked Rose's naivity.
