Clerks, a review by DJ Doena

May, 20th

Brian O'Halloran    ...    Dante
Jeff Anderson   ...    Randal
Marilyn Ghigliotti   ...    Veronica
Lisa Spoonhauer   ...    Caitlin
Jason Mewes   ...    Jay
Kevin Smith   ...    Silent Bob
Scott Mosier   ...    Willam the Idiot Manchild

Synopsis: Dante is a convenient store clerk who isn't supposed to work today but has to come in anyways. Together with his friend Randal who works at the neighbouring video store he philosophizes through the entire spectrum of topics while unwillingly "serving" customers. When they don't work (which they mostly don't) and don't philosophize they play hockey or drive to a wake or talk to friends and girlfriends. And so the day goes by...

My Opinion: I got the idea of watching this again when I stumbled across the "ABC" dance video of Clerks II. It's funny how a movie is able to not to have an actual story and still be very entertaining for 92 minutes. I have always loved the part where they discuss the morality of destroying a Death Star while it's still under construction and thus having a lot of external contractors like roofers and plumbers are on board. ;)

Notorious, a review by Jon

Notorious (1946)
5 out of 5

A beautiful, but supposedly immoral woman and daughter (Ingrid Bergman) of a convicted war criminal, is persuaded to spy on Nazis at work in Rio. Before the job begins, she and her agent contact, Devlin (Cary Grant), fall in love. Their real feelings must be hidden, even from each other when she marries one of the group, Alex (Claude Rains), and her situation grows desperate.

Charmed Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Disc 3:

9. There's Something About Leo
Leo's announcement that he is an Avatar causes pandemonium in The Charmed Ones' lives. Blood is shed when the distracted sisters are unable to fulfill their duty to protect the life of an Innocent.

My Thoughts:
A good... but not great episode... it is one of those episodes I call a "what if Episode"... where something is brought out into the open... just for the one episode to see how things would turn out.  There is nothing really special about this episode... but it isn't bad either.

10. Witchness Protection
Leo is forced to protect the Seer upon the Avatars' insistence that she has information that can help destroy the demons while Agent Brody shares his darkest secret with Paige.

My Thoughts:
This episode I really enjoyed a lot... unfortunately this is the last episode to guest star Charisma Carpenter.

11. Ordinary Witches
The underworld's most powerful demon transfers The Charmed Ones' powers to innocent bystanders who run amok with their new abilites.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... but once again nothing really special.

12. Extreme Makeover: World Edition
With the impending doom of the Avatars' Utopian transformation of the world where all humans must be put to sleep, The Charmed Ones become victims of a paranoia spell that attracts and kills an Avatar.

My Thoughts:
Once again an alright episode. For some reason I never really cared about the whole Avatar storyline. I am just glad that the Avatar storyline didn't last the whole season.
