Stephen King's Cat's Eye, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Stephen King's Cat's Eye Year: 1985 Director: Lewis Teague Rating: PG-13 Length: 94 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital Surround, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: English, French, Spanish Stars: Drew Barrymore as Our Girl James Woods as Morrison Alan King as Dr. Donatti Kenneth McMillan as Cressner Robert Hays as Norris Plot:Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Trailers Production Notes Closed Captioned My Thoughts: This is one of the first Anthology movies I ever seen... and one of my favorites. In my opinion a real horror classic! I loved how the cat in the beginning of the movie is shown running past other Stephen King greats... like.. seeing the cat getting scared by Cujo coming out from behind a fence and almost getting run over by Christine. This Anthology had 3 stories to it... and in this case I really enjoyed all 3 of them. I definitely recommend this movie to any horror fan! My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006 (From What Movies I Been Watching on January 31st, 2010) Goldmember, a review by DragonfireMy Thoughts I did really like the first two Austin Powers movies, but I didn't like this one as well. I still liked Austin and Dr. Evil fine..but I didn't like Goldmember at all. He bothered me more than Fat Bastard did in the second movie. I just can't stand the character. I did like that Austin's dad was added in. Foxxy Cleopatra was fine as a character, but I wasn't really impressed with Beyonce's acting. I guess I just don't get her appeal overall. Anyway, I did enjoy the movie overall even though I don't think it was as good as the first two. I did think there was an interesting development or two...and it would have been interesting to follow those things further. Ross's son Ben joins Joey on an audition for a soup commercial. My Thoughts: In this episode Phoebe and Monica try to plan Rachel's birthday party... but Monica pretty much takes over... leaving Phoebe completely out of the planning. Leaving only cups and ice for her... and she really does the cups and ice! It is funny... I noticed both this episode and the last one I watched... in the very beginning Joey tries to do a bad card trick. I wonder if that will continue through-out all the Friends birthday episodes. This one wasn't quite as good as the one I watched before it... but still a fun watch. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Birthday Marathon on May 29th, 2009) |
