Medusa, a review by Jimmy

Title : Medusa (1973)

Overview
A pair of American siblings, living in Greece, becomes entangled with the local mob. While the sister is happy and engaged to be married, the brother is faced with repaying a debt to a mobster and fears that the latest revision of his father's will may cut him out of an inheritance. When people associated with the will begin to turn up dead, the authorities begin suspecting the American has connections to the deaths.

My Impression
Didn't like it, why? 2 words : Georges Hamilton. Who had decided that this guy is a good actor or a sex symbol? Probably himself since he is the producer of this movie... Watching him overacting for 1h39 isn't my idea of a great time at all. At least the music in the film was good (if you like traditional greek music) and Cameron Mitchell is good as usual. I have 47 others movie in this set to watch and I've probably just watched the worst one...

Midnight Express, a review by Rich

Keep out of trouble through Turkey...

Written by Oliver Stone, based on a true story, a harrowing story of a man thrown in to a Turkish jail after being caught smuggling a small amount of dope. Brad Davis and John Hurt are both convincing as they slowly go mad in this torturous prison, and some scenes are extremely brutal and difficult to watch. Enjoyed this flick, despite it slumping in the middle, and would recommend it as a bargain buy. 6/10

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 2

17. Disharmony
Original Air Date: 4/17/2001
While the crew tracks down a cult of vampires led by a former motivational speaker with a wicked pyramid scheme, Cordelia gets a surprise visit from her old high-school buddy Harmony. Unaware her flaky pal's a bloodsucker, Cordy mistakes Harm's strange behavior for lesbianism---until the truth comes out, so to speak, in a call to Willow. Much to the dismay of her co-workers, the ever loyal Cordelia resolves to give her undead friend a chance at fighting for the good guys.

Guest Stars:
Mercedes McNab
Pat Healy
Alyson Hannigan

My Thoughts:
This one is more a fun, comedic episode. And it definitely is funny. Brittany joined me watching this one... and she was laughing so hard she couldn't even breath. It was definitely hilarious seeing Cordelia confusing Harmony being a vampire with being a lesbian. And even more so when she goes on about it to Willow over the phone.
