My Thoughts:

Ok sequel to the Johnny 5 saga. Not nearly as good as the original but still had some entertaining moments thanks largely to the robot himself. I think I would have enjoyed both installments much more had they dropped Fisher Stevens character who I find is one of the most annoying people on the planet.

Cynthia Gibb, hottie and love interest of Rob Lowe in Youngblood was in this but she looks more like a girl scout than a vixen this time around.

Lots of Canadian content including Michael McKean and this film was largely produced in Toronto, mostly around Yonge Street. I spotted a plethora of Canadian flags, The World's Biggest Bookstore, CIBC headquarters and I'm pretty sure I saw the Zanzibar... a strip club I have frequented a few times in my wilder days.  8) The editing crew did a shameful job when trying to make the city look like New York.  :-\

Was ok, but I'm glad they stopped after part 2.

The A-Team, a review by dfmorgan

The A-Team

Year: 2010
Director: Joe Carnahan
Cast: Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel
Overview: They're armed, dangerous...and downright crazy! Buckle up for an adrenaline-fuelled, action-packed thrill-ride starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quintin "Rampage" Jackson and Sharlto Copley. Convicted by a military court for a crime they didn't commit, a daring team of former special forces soldiers must utilise thier unique talents to break out of prison and tackle thier toughest mission yet. It's going to take guts, split-second timing and an arsenal of explosive weapons - this is a job for The A-Team! This triple play edition of The A-Team contains a Blu-ray, a DVD and a Digital Copy - for you to enjoy when you want, where you want!

Watched: 27th. Jan 2011
My Thoughts: I watched the extended version and thought that it was the usual park-your-brain mindless fun. There were aspects to link back to the original TV series but in general this film took the team into a slightly different direction.

My Rating: A mindlessly enjoyable 3

Dark Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Season 2: Disc 6

20. Love Among the Runes
Max begins to develop strange markings on her body while leading a transgenic resistance against White, when he attempts to capture one of her "brothers". However, the transgenics are stunned by revealed secrets about their "father" that threaten all that they believe and stir up many more questions.

My Thoughts:
Good episode... and was a good set-up for the series finale. pretty much pure action here towards the end.

21. Freak Nation
Max is forced to expose her true identity to the world, when she must defend her own kind during a potentially deadly hostage situation at Jam Pony, involving Joshua and Alec.

My Thoughts:
Now... this was a great episode... and if I am not mistaken... this one was originally meant to be a season finale... not a series finale. It just left too much open... and I so wanted to see more! I remember when I first heard this series was canceled I had hoped for a TV Movie to finish off the series right... and even though I know the chances are extremely slim to none... I still would like to see one. But look what you have... Jessica Alba (Max) is a big time movie star now... Michael Weratherly (Logan) is a hit on NCIS now... and Jensen Ackles (Alec) is HUGE on Supernatural... I don't see them returning for it now.

Anyway... final thoughts on Dark Angel... I still to this day feel this is a wonderfully exciting and action packed series. A series that ended too soon in my opinion.  This is the show that I first noticed the always lovely Jessica Alba on. If you have never seen this series... and you like an action series... mixed with a generous dose of Sci-Fi... then you must check out this series as soon as you possibly can... You won't be sorry!!!
