My Thoughts:
A good movie. The first half is done after the popular formula: Nice poor guy falls in love with rich girl who is (almost) engaged to another man. He works hard to win her over. The second half shows something, other movies fail to show: What happens to such a pairing after they got married? How do they manage one year later? Are they still happy? Are the money problems tearing them apart because he refuses to take money from her relatives and friends?

John Carpenter's Vampires, a review by addicted2dvd

John Carpenter's Vampires
In the blood-chilling tradition of 'Halloween' and 'Village of the Damned' comes John Carpenter's unique vision of the ultimate killing machines, VAMPIRES.

"Forget everything you've ever heard about vampires," warns Jack Crow (James Woods), the leader of Team Crow, a relentless group of mercenary vampire slayers. When Master Vampire Valek (Thomas Ian Griffith) decimates Jack's entire team, Crow and the sole team survivor, Montoya (Daniel Baldwin), set out in pursuit. Breaking all the rules, Crow and Montoya take one of Valek's victims hostage.

The beautiful but unlucky prostitute (Sheryl Lee) is their sole psychic link to Valek, and through her senses they will track down the leader of the undead. As Valek nears the climax of his 600-year search for the Berziers Cross, Jack and the new Team Crow do everything humanly possible to prevent him from possessing the only thing that can grant him and all vampires the omnipotent power to walk in the daylight.

My Thoughts:
This is another of my favorite Vampire movies. I think James Woods did a great job as a vampire hunter. I have liked this one since the first time I saw it.  It is a decent standard release DVD... good picture and sound... but only extras are the Trailer and a Commentary.

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 1

9. Hero
Original Air Date: 11/30/1999
Doyle gets a chance to atone for his past when Angel agrees to help a group of mixed-heritage demons being hunted by violent pure-blood demons known as The Scourge.

Guest Stars:
Tony Denman
Anthony Cistaro
Michelle Horn
Lee Arenberg

My Thoughts:
It is now time to say goodbye to Doyle (Glenn Quinn). It is shame his time on Angel was so short as I enjoyed his character. This is another good episode. Cordelia finds out about Doyle... prepares to go out with him... and loose him all in one episode. So this one was definitely more of a dramatic storyline then it was comedic. So not to much here to even give you a little chuckle. Well maybe Doyle trying to do the commercial. But that is about it.
