I quite enjoyed this one. For some reason Will Ferrel's comedies have a certain charm to them that I like, but I can understand if someone doesn't like them. I especially liked the outrageous skating routines in this one

Plot:
DADDY DAY CARE is the hilarious comedy about kids ruling the roost! When ad execs Charlie (Eddie Murphy-Dr. Dolittle, Shrek) and Phil (TV's "Curb Your Enthusiasm"'s Jeff Garlin) lose their jobs trying to sell a veggie-flavored breakfast cereal, their wives head off to work. But when they realize they can't afford to keep their kids at the fancy Chapman Academy run by evil Miss Harridan (The Addams Family's Anjelica Huston), Charlie and Phil become the proprietors of Daddy Day Care. Little do these two Mr. Moms realize that they have just begun their own adventures in babysitting! DADDY DAY CARE's excellent supporting cast includes Steve Zahn (National Security), Regina King (Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde) and Kevin Nealon (Anger Management).

My Thoughts:
This is just a fun movie to watch. I literally laughed out loud on more then one occasion. I liked the entire cast... especially enjoyed Anjelica Huston as the evil head of the competition day care center. She played the role perfectly. A friend gave me this movie 3 years ago... and I remembered enjoying it at the time... but I forgot just how much I did enjoy it.I will have to keep this movie in mind and not let it go so long between viewings. It isn't perfect of course... there is some pretty silly stuff here... but it is just fun to watch.

Battlestar Galactica (2003)



What's the show about?
The Battlestar Galactica leads a group of refugee ships away from the destructed twelve colonies of Kobol to what they hope to find: the thirteenth colony, a planet called "Earth". They are hunted by the Cylons, a race of Robots that were once created by the Humans.

What happened before?
The new series is a re-imagination of the old one, not a continuation, therefore nothing "happened before". There are however many similarities between both shows but just as many differences.

"Battlestar Galactica"
The Battlestar Galactica is about to be decommissioned, it was commisioned during the last Cylon War. But then the unbelievable happens: after an armistice that lasted 40 years, the Cylons attack the colonial fleet and all the colonies. They have access to the colonial defense systems and are able to disable any resistance. After a great deal of the fleet is destroyed, the Galactica is the last remaining Battlestar and Adama becomes the head of the remaining forces. Meanwhile the secretary of eduction Laura Roslin is sworn into the office of the President of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. Adama plans to strike back, but President Roslin has another point of view...

My Opinion
Really great show and I hope we are going to see the 4th season (that's currently uncertain due to the WGA strike). I'd hate to see that show be left open-ended, especially because they promised to bring the story to an end in the 4th season.
