The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a review by goodguy

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
Written by: Richard O'Brien & Jim Sharman
Directed by: Jim Jarman
Starring: Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Richar O'Brien
DVD: R1-US Fox (2000)

My rating:

Cover blurb: The Rocky Horror Picture Show is an "erotic nightmare beyond any measure." Relive Richard O'Brien's sinfully twisted salute to horror, sci-fi, B-movies and rock music - a "sensual daydream to treasure forever" - starring Tim Curry (in his classic gender-bending performance), Barry Bostwick, and Oscar winner Susan Sarandon. Do the "Time Warp" and sing "Hot Patootie" with Meat Loaf again...and again...and again. Pull up a slab and let the madness begin!

I guess you have to be at one of those whacky screenings to fully enjoy this. The movie is great for the first half hour, after that it rapidly deteriorates. Still, even then it retains a certain silly charme and the occasional catchy song (e.g. Eddie's Teddy) makes sitting through the remaining parts worthwhile.

Damien: Omen II, a review by addicted2dvd

Damien: Omen II
Since the sudden and highly suspicious death of his parents, 12-year-old Damien has been in the charge of his wealthy aunt and uncle (Lee Grant and William Holden).

Widely feared to be the Antichrist, Damien relentlessly plots to seize control of his uncle's business empire -- and the world. Meanwhile, anyone attempting to unravel the secrets of Damien's sinister past or fiendish future meets with a swift and cruel demise.

In this chilling sequel to 'The Omen', the forces of good and evil battle each other to a taut and terrifying end.

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this sequel... was a good one... but do prefer the original movie to it. It was pretty interesting to see him in his teen years. And it did have a couple pretty cool death scenes. I have The Omen Collection boxset that includes all 4 movies. I have heard many times that parts 3 and 4 are worthless... but think I will find out today and finish off the boxset.

Guest Stars:
David Cassidy as Sam Scudder

My Thoughts:
This is an ok episode... but was never one of my favorites. I found I just didn't care much about the main storyline. But it still has some entertaining moments.
