m.cellophane says:
I was looking forward to this, thinking that it was in the same film family as Sideways. I'm now puzzled however that this is being marketed as a comedy. It's not. It's a family drama with some occasional witty, ironic humor. The idea of the children of a lesbian couple searching for their bio-dad was intriguing. It's definitely topical and modern. For me, the script has a fatal flaw though:

As for the actors, they all did a terrific job. Annette Bening rightly garnered kudos for her performance. Mark Ruffalo is perfect as the carefree lothario.

2 on the cellophane scale.  :-\

My Thoughts:
Even though I am not a big fan of Ezra Miller's Flash, I was excited for this Flash movie since it was announced. And that the topic is the Flashpoint storyline. Then when other movies in the "Snyderverse" failed, I feared that it will be cancelled. Luckily it was not. And when even the new DC movie head James Gunn, who wants the movies abondon the Snyderverse and start fresh, said that the movie will come (even with all the bad press that Ezra Miller caused) and that cut of the movie he saw is really great, I got my hopes up high. But then it flopped at the cinema and the reviews were rather mixed.
Still I had hopes for it. I my expectations were met. I really liked this movie. I think it may even the best one of the DCEU movies. Maybe even better than Wonder Woman and the first Shazam. I was spoiled for most of the surprise cameos, but I was suprised that Ezra Miller had a dual role of playing two Flashs. Our Flash and a younger vesion of him from an alternate timeline. And that they share screentime most of the time. Really done well and really great acting by Ezra.
Now I am sad, that it flopped and we probably will not see another Flash movie. But it was a great conclusion for the Snyderverse, even though two movies come after it.

Tom's TV Pilots marathon, a review by Tom

     Berlin, Berlin: Complete Series (2002/Germany)
IMDb | Wikipedia

Universum Film, Das Erste (Germany)
Length:2150 min.
Video:Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78
Audio:German: Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo
Subtitles:

Berlin, Berlin
Season 1.01 Landflucht
Writer: David Safier (Writer)
Director: Franziska Meyer Price
Cast: Felicitas Woll (Lolle), Sandra Borgmann, Jan Sosniok, Matthias Klimsa, Maverick Quek, Charlotte Schwab, Jürgen Mai, Andi Slawinski, Kai Lentrodt, Alexa Wiegandt, Fabio Beyer, Sandra Keller, Kaspar Eichel

This series is often compared to "Mein Leben und ich" (a German TV series I enjoyed watching), but I never saw an episode before. Recently I saw the complete series set cheap on Amazon and decided to take a shot at it. And if the rest of the series is as good as the pilot episode, I won't regret this decision.
So far it really is similar to "Mein Leben und ich" (which in turn is based on the US series "My So-Called Life"), except that here the main protagonist isn't a high school girl, but has just finished school and is moving to the big city (Berlin) by herself.
So far I only know the main star Felicitas Woll from the movie "Liebe Mauer", which I also enjoyed. Though I learned now, that she also replaced Wolke (the main star in "Mein Leben und ich") in the comedy series "Die Camper", after they exchanged the complete main cast after the first season. Quite fitting.
