Die! Die! My Darling!, a review by KinkyCyborg

Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1
Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Mono

Stars:
Tallulah Bankhead
Stefanie Powers
Peter Vaughan

Plot:
Directed by Silvio Narizzano ('Georgy Girl,' 'Loot') and produced by Hammer Films, the infamous British studio known for gothic horror classics, DIE! DIE! MY DARLING! stars the legendary Tallulah Bankhead ('Lifeboat,' TV's "Batman") in her final film performance. She plays the psychotic Mrs. Trefoile, a demented mother who terrorizes and imprisons her dead son's fiancée Pat (Stefanie Powers, TV's "Hart to Hart," 'Stagecoach') to avenge her son's tragic death, with the help of her bumbling gardener (Donald Sutherland, 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers,' 'Klute,' 'Don't Look Now').

A domineering religious fanatic, Mrs. Trefoile grows obsessed with her late son's spirit, who died several years earlier in an auto wreck. When her son's former lover pays an unexpected visit, Mrs. Trefoile kidnaps the beautiful young woman, holding her hostage in the basement to "cleanse" her soul, so she can be reunited with her son in Heaven. Trapped and tortured, Pat must fight for her life to escape. DIE! DIE! MY DARLING! is a campy, classic thriller fueled by Bankhead's over-the-top turn as the ultimate Mother from Hell.

My Thoughts:

Hammer Film production from the mid 60's that was Tallulah Bankhead's last movie appearance. Playing a religious fanatic trying to redeem her dead son's soul by cleansing the sins from his former fiancee while holding her captive.... she was perfect in the role! Stephanie Powers played the unfortunate girl caught in the old hag's grasp and she did a credible job as well. She was quite the cute little minx! Donald Sutherland played the retarded, but good natured gardener who had no clue what was going on most of the time... he looked like a teenage kid in this movie.

All in all I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would.

Billy Madison, a review by Rich

Billy Madison

Billy Madison, the dim-witted son of a millionaire, wastes his life guzzling beer and devising obscene pranks until his father threatens to leave him nothing. In order to earn his father's respect,... Billy Madison, the dim-witted son of a millionaire, wastes his life guzzling beer and devising obscene pranks until his father threatens to leave him nothing. In order to earn his father's respect, Billy, who bribed his way through school, must pass all 12 grades in six months or see a sycophantic assistant get his father's fortune. Billy struggles with the aide and his own idiocy to make good in this gag-filled farce.

What a pathetic, juvenile load of shit.
Thank god I didn't see this years ago, or I would have been put off Sandler forever  :yucky:

Smallville Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Season 1: Disc 2:
5. COOL
He's the coolest guy in school - and a stone-cold danger to everyone he meets. A fall into icy, kryptonite-laced Crater Lake turns a student into a hypothermic monster who seeks to rob others of their body heat.

My Thoughts:
This is a real COOL episode!... sorry couldn't help myself. In this one Clark needs to save Chloe... my favorite character on Smallville. This one had some pretty decent special effects what with the freezing of the school pool and all. A good episode.... really enjoyed it.

6. HOURGLASS
A plunge into kryptonite-infused waters act like a fountain of youth for a retirement home resident, who is restored to the murderous ways of his sinister past. A fortune-teller foresees Lex in the Oval Office.

My Thoughts:
Yet another Freak of the Week episode. As always... someone close to Clark is in trouble... this time being his parents. Is a good episode... but I don't think I personally would rank it up there as a favorite of mine.

7. CRAVINGS
A teen's amazingly successful weight-loss regimen gives her a crazed hunger for high-fat munchies! So she munches on a deer here, a boyfriend there - she's a fat-sucking fiend and a menace to Smallville!

My Thoughts:
This one I enjoyed quite a bit. was a decent episode with some pretty cool effects. liked the way they did Jodi's jaw when she went to feed. In this episode Clark had to save Pete Ross.

8. JITTERS
an Ex-'LuthorCorp' employee insists that the spasmodic rages that sometimes grip him are a result lf an incident that occured on the plant's secret Level 3. But if there is a Level 3, why doesn't Lex know anything about it?

My Thoughts:
This one I really liked... and it co-stars a favorite actor of mine... one that does a lot of horror movies... Tony Todd. This time Clark has to save his whole class from the inside a hostage situation. This one I would say is one of my favorites.
