Happy Birthday To Me, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Happy Birthday to Me Year: 1980 Director: J. Lee Thompson Rating: R Length: 111 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Mono Subtitles: English, Japanese, Spanish Stars: Melissa Sue Anderson Glenn Ford Lawrence Dane Sharon Acker Frances Hyland Tracey E. Bregman Plot:Extras: Scene Access Bonus Trailers Closed Captioned Original poster art insert My Thoughts: My wife used to drive me nuts always watching Little House on the Prairie before she passed away... so Melissa Sue Anderson is very familiar to me from that.I found this movie to be very good... I really enjoyed it. I have to say... I got a kick out of that bridge game they played towards the beginning of the movie. I think Melissa Sue Anderson did a very good job on this movie. I grew up with '80s horror... and definitely watched quite a bit of it. I would rank this one high on the list of the many movies I remember watching at the time. I found some... if not most of the killings to be really imaginative. The DVD release could have definitely been better. Especially that cover art! Why they didn't use the movie poster for the cover art I will never understand. And there is actual no extras what so ever on this disc concerning this movie. Not even the theatrical trailer. I would have loved to seen a few extras here. Some deleted scenes... commentary... pretty much anything that was actually about the movie. But no such luck. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Bizarre Birthdays on May 28th, 2010) Booty Call, a review by RichBooty Call Some guys will do anything for a little something - What happens when a planned night of love turns into the double date from hell? A provocative comedy about two couples grappling with the difference between love and lust, 'BOOTY CALL' tells the outrageous adventures of Bunz (Jamie Foxx), and Rushon (Tommy Davidson), two friends hoping to "get it on" with their beautiful dates. But Nikki (Tamala Jones) and Lysterine (Viveca A. Fox) are women with more than one definition of 'safe sex', and getting them into bed is going to be more complicated than Rushon and Bunz imagined... There are a million reasons to hate this film - non-existent storyline, pathetic scenarios, Foxx totally wasted, vulgarity, hopeless production etc etc etc However, there are a lot of absolute belly laugh moments, some cringeworthy embarassing scenarios, and a hilarious dog, which made this short film a guilty pleasure to watch. (From Riches Random Reviews on March 14th, 2009) The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ DoenaWhat's the show about? Roy, Moss and Jen are the IT department at Reynholm Industries. Roy and Moss are the typical geeks while Jen has no clue about computers at all. But together they manage to live a rather quite life in the basement where they are only disturbed when some idiot upstairs has no idea how to work with a computer. "Yesterday's Jam" Jen has just been hired by Reynholm Industries to become the head of the IT department. She has no clue about computers but luckily for her neither has Reynholm. But when the actual computer guys Roy and Moss get wind of this they try to expose her. My Opinion The humour of this show is very British and might not appeal to everyone. It might come to mind but you can't really compare this show with The Big Bang Theory even though both are very nerdy. I hope that there will be a fourth season - or Version 4.0 as they call it.
