Stephen King's Storm of the Century, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Stephen King's Storm of the Century Movie Count: 49 TV Ep Count: 17 Time Started: 12:30pm Plot: From Stephen King, the best-selling novelist of all time, comes the terrifying tale of a town besieged by evil. The inhabitants of a picturesque, sleepy little town on a small island off the coast of Maine find themselves completely cut off from the rest of the world when they are hit by the worst storm of the century. As snow steadily buries everything familiar, terror arrives in the form of an evil stranger. As streets disappear and an eerie darkness envelops the town, a series of bizarre murders creates a nightmare of fear. With no help coming from the outside world and no end to the storm in sight, the townspeople are forced to take drastic action before it's too late. My Thoughts: This is another really good Stephen King miniseries... it is one I haven't watched in quite a while... so it was good to see it again. Being a parent I would have never been able to do make the decision they had to make. If you never seen this one I definitely recommend checking it out... I am sure you will enjoy it! My Thoughts: I have seen bits and pieces of this one before. But I think that this is the first time I seen the whole film. I did find it enjoyable. Some segments more then others. My favorite segment has to be "The Sourcer's Apprentice," At least for me one big downfall of this film has to be the narrarator. He just talked too much when introducing the segments. He should have announced the segments without telling us what we were about to see. So the film is entertaining enough... but could have been better. Rating: (From 2018 Challenge: Box Office TOP 100 FILMS OF ALL-TIME (Domestic Gross) on April 11th, 2018) NCIS Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdNCIS: Season 1: Disc 3 9. MARINE DOWN A Marine, purported to have been killed in action, contacts his would-be widow from "beyond the grave." My Thoughts: This was another good episode. To be at someone's wake and to have a call from what you believe is him... talk about messing with your mind. 10. LEFT FOR DEAD A woman who digs herself out of a grave after being buried alive comes to the attention of Gibbs and his team when she says she remembers something about a bomb being hidden on a Navy ship, even though she has amnesia. My Thoughts: Another really good episode... another freaky situation... to wake up finding that you were buried alive... luckily in a shallow grave... but still. 11. EYE SPY A satellite operative inadvertently witnesses a murder while spying on a nude sunbather. My Thoughts: A good episode... but not great. what feels to be a basic filler episode. 12. MY OTHER LEFT FOOT N.C.I.S. is called in when the leg of a missing Marine is found in a dumpster in West Virginia. My Thoughts: This is a good one. The story kept you (or me at least) guessing for a good portion of the episode. (From NCIS Marathon on December 3rd, 2007) |
