Better Than Sex, a review by KinkyCyborgTitle:Better Than Sex Year: 2000 Director: Jonathan Teplitzky Rating: R Length: 83 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1 Subtitles: English Stars: David Wenham Susie Porter Kris McQuade Simon Bossell Catherine McClements Plot:Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Closed Captioned My Thoughts: Aussie flick about a one night stand that turns into much more. There's actually a cute little love story behind all the constant sex. I think the use of no name actors actually help this work. I got this movie from Phoenix back on SwitchPlanet basically as a throw in to help even off a trade and I'm glad I did as it was an entertaining, sometimes erotic watch. Much better than the last Australian made movie I watched (Little Fish). KC Rating: (From KinkyCyborg's Random Reviews 2010 on July 6th, 2010) Meet The Spartans, a review by JimmyTitle : Meet The Spartans (2008) Overview The battle begins when the heroic Leonidas, armed with nothing but leather underwear and a cape, leads a ragtag group of 13 - count'em, 13! - warriors to defend their homeland against the invading Persians, whose ranks include Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers, and a hunchbacked Paris Hilton! My Impression I like this one, but maybe there is a logic explaination This is my third one today in 9 hours, so my brain maybe had decided to go on vacancy OR the film is good for real OR we see more of Carmen Electra and more often... I've my idea of why Don't take my introduction that serious, this isn't hard to be better than the 2 previous one. But this one had a story and they follow it and the story is funny in a dumb way. Evidently we got again the stupid non sense celebrity of the day get thrown at us for no real reason, but that didn't happen too often. The difference is that this time real actors are in the cast and that gives a more professional look. Kevin Sorbo is far from his Hercule days but he is better than any actors who had appear in the previous movies, Ken Davitian had some good line and Sean Maguire is good in the lead. The rest of the cast isn't important, but without the talents of Carmen Electra the movie would be certainly less interesting. The American Idol segment at the end isn't to bad too. Rating : (From Comedy? Weekend Marathon on April 25th, 2009) Doctor Who Marathon, a review by TomDoctor Who Series 1.08 Father's Day Writer: Paul Cornell (Writer) Director: Joe Ahearne Cast: Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), Billie Piper (Rose Tyler), Camille Coduri (Jackie Tyler), Shaun Dingwall (Pete Tyler), Robert Barton (Registrar), Julia Joyce (Young Rose), Christopher Llewellyn (Stuart), Frank Rozelaar-Green (Sonny), Natalie Jones (Sarah), Eirlys Bellin (Bev), Rhian James (Suzie), Casey Dyer (Young Mickey) This episode deals with what happens if the doctor (or in this case Rose) tries to change something in their personal history). I liked the scenes with Rose and her Dad. I didn't care so much about the creatures which appear to destroy them because of the changed history. It reminded me a little of the "The Langoliers" TV movie. Though the CGI is better than in that movie. (From Doctor Who Marathon on February 8th, 2014) |
