Blades of Glory, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Blades of Glory Year: 2007 Director: Will Speck, Josh Gordon Rating: PG-13 Length: 93 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, French: Dolby Digital: 5.1, Spanish: Dolby Digital: 5.1 Subtitles: English, French, Spanish Stars: Will Ferrell Jon Heder Will Arnett Amy Poehler Jenna Fischer William Fichtner Plot:Extras: Scene Access Bonus Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Gallery Music Videos Interviews Outtakes/Bloopers Closed Captioned My Thoughts: I felt like something more on the silly side of things next. And I definitely got that. When it comes to Will Ferrell movies... Some I really enjoy... but others I just can't stand. This one is unfortunately far from a favorite. While it did have a little entertainment value in some scenes... for the most part I just couldn't get into this one. The very ending moment of this movie was so ridiculous in itself it made my score of the movie go down a bit. But hey... at least I did make it to that end moment. I was starting to wonder if I would while watching this one. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unwatched DVDs on November 7th, 2010) A Very Brady Christmas, a review by addicted2dvdA Very Brady Christmas Mike and Carol Brady decide to spend their savings on bringing their kids and relatives in for the holidays, but the kids are having their own problems: Greg (now a doctor) has to make the trip alone since his wife Nora is spending the holidays with her family; Peter is embarrassed to bring his girlfriend home since she is his boss; Bobby is hiding the fact that he dropped out of business grad school to race cars; Marcia's husband, Wally, has been laid off from his job at Tyler Toys; Jan and stuffy husband Phillip are separating; and Cindy is tired of the fact that mom and dad can't respect her as a grown woman. Just another day in the life of the Bradys. My Thoughts: I wasn't sure I was quite ready for this reunion movie... especially with it being so far out of season. But when Brittany found out I was doing reunion movies for this weekend's marathon... she really wanted to watch the Brady Bunch ones with me. So we decide to go ahead and do it. As I have said while watching the complete series set... I personally always enjoyed the reunion movies more then the series itself. I can say I have a new appreciation for the series... as I enjoyed it more then I thought I would when I watched it again... but think I still prefer the reunion movies. Some reason I really enjoy seeing the Brady kids all grown up. But I do believe this is the last time I will watch this particular reunion movie till the Holiday season comes! Pilot (2007-09-24) Writer: Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady Director: James Burrows Cast02. The Big Bran Hypothesis (2007-10-01) Writer: Robert Cohen, Dave Goetsch, Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady Director: Mark Cendrowski Cast: Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Rajesh Koothrappali) I loved the Superman discussion If this series would solely consist of such discussions with no storyline to speak of, I would still continue to watch it (yes I am a geek ) (From "Big Bang Theory" Marathon on September 22nd, 2008) |
