Underdog, a review by addicted2comicsTitle: Underdog Year: 2007 Director: Frederik Du Chau Rating: PG Length: 82 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.40:1, Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, French: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo, Spanish: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: English, French, Spanish Stars: Jason Lee (1970) Peter Dinklage Jim Belushi Patrick Warburton Alex Neuberger Taylor Momsen Plot:Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Music Videos Outtakes/Bloopers Underdog Cartoon My Thoughts: Always a favorite of mine to watch, trust me, this is way better than that old cartoon!! I especially love the special feature music video with Kyle Massey. Speed of lightining, roar of thunder! Haha! I shopuld make dad sit through that!! But the movie, what can I say? It was nice for the family, brought a cartoon (which I though was horrible by the way) to the big screen and DVD, which is something I wouldn't think possible. If your looking for a fun little superhero movie, I recommend this. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Doing the ABC's Movie Style!! on July 27th, 2010) Darby O'Gill and the Little People, a review by addicted2dvd

My Thoughts: This is a film I haven't seen since I was a kid... but for some reason remained in my mind as a fun movie. That was about all I could remember about it. Well today we got to watch this one which I was excited going into it. Luckily I did not expect too much going in. I actually found I loved every minute of this film! The cast did a fantastic job... the story line and characters were all a lot of fun and surprisingly for such an old movie... the special effects on this film was great! And I must say... if I wasn't told ahead of time that Michael McBride was played by Sean Connery I would have never recognized him! This is one film I highly recommend! Suddenly and inexplicably, 4400 missing people are returned all at once, as they were on the day they vanished. Unclear what this world-altering event means, the government investigates the 4400 to piece together where they've been and why they've been returned. It quickly becomes apparent that their presence will change the human race in ways no one could have ever foreseen. Pilot Everyone on Earth is excited about a comet passing by, but as soon as its trajectory changes to a collision course everyone starts to panic. The comet turns out to be a giant ball of light that when explodes it leaves behind 4400 people. They are missing persons who have been gone from a few months to 60 years and none have aged a day. The 4400 are put in quarantine and eventually released. Some of the returnees begin to exhibit strange and uncontrollable new abilities. Tom Bishop and Diana Skouris, two Homeland Security agents, are appointed to find out what happened to the 4400. My Thoughts: This is one of those series that while it is good... it is not one I would call a favorite. As of yet I still only have the very short (5 episodes) 1st season set. I don't know what problem I have with it... as it is a good premise and for the most part the characters are likable. But for some reason I tend to get a little bored watching this show. And I never have the urge to watch the next episode right away when I watch one like I do on most series. My Rating: (From Pete's Pilots on October 26th, 2009) |
