Dog Soldiers, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: Dog Soldiers
Movie Count: 46
TV Ep Count: 16
Time Started: 8am
Plot:
A band of soldiers is dispatched to war games deep in the woods . When they stumble across a rival team slaughtered in camp, they realize they're not alone. Something deadly is waiting in the darkness: something not animal and not human. Holed up in an abandoned farmhouse, the soldiers start a bloody battle against the beasts. Dawn is only a few hours away but they may not live to see it.

My Thoughts:
I bought this one several years ago while at Walmart one day... not only was it a Blind Buy at that time... but it was also an Impulse Buy... I spotted it up on the shelf... felt the front cover looked interesting and just tossed it into my cart... I remember I never even read the back of the box. Yes... back then I liked to gamble with the DVDs I bought a little bit. In this case the gamble really paid off... I enjoyed this movie from start to finish! I think I really liked this one because it is different then most werewolf movies what  with it happening to a group of soldiers. For those concerned about gore... be warned this one has it's share. I definitely feel safe recommending this movie!

My Brother's Wife, a review by Jimmy

Title : My Brother's Wife (1966)

Overview
Doris Wishman's ode to love, lust, and marital non-bliss, in which sweet little Mary falls in love with Frankie, the slimeball brother of her dull hubby Bob. But when Frankie suggests Mary get money so they can run away together, he neglects to mention his 'other' girlfriend, the marvelously sleazy Zena...

My Impression
Typical sixties New York sexploitation... Always a lot of fun to watch, since it's the first genre I've fell in love with because of the dvd. Of course those films aren't shocking anymore (they were popular more than 40 years ago) but at the time they were. Evidently like many of them this movie was filmed without sound and dub later in studio (kind of evident since the lip movement doesn't fit... but it's even more evident when we hear Darlene Bennett without her Brooklyn accent). The story isn't too much complicated (the end is easy to guess) and we sure see the actresses often in black lingeries.

I like those movies. You can turn your brain off and see what was scandalous when your father was a young adult...

I Love Lucy

THE GIRLS WANT TO GO TO A NIGHTCLUB
A spat over where to go on the Mertzes' anniversary leaves the men and women celebrating separately, until Lucy and Ethel show up in hillbilly disguises as Ricky and Fred's blind dates.

My Thoughts:
In my opinion this is a true classic sitcom. Even as old as this series is... it contains lots of laughs. And the comedy is timeless... just ask Brittany. She loves this show and laughs out loud every time she watches it. There is no real introduction to the characters in this episode. But you catch on real quick.
