Haeckel's Tale, a review by addicted2dvdHaeckel's Tale In a time when the laws of science battled the secrets of magic, medical student Ernst Haeckel (Derek Cecil) believes the power of life, death and resurrection lay in his arrogant hands. But on a journey to visit his gravely ill father, he finds shelter in the home of an older man and his seductive young wife (Leela Savasta) who cannot be fulfilled by mortal hungers. Somewhere in the darkness of a nearby necropolis, a defiant necromancer (Jon Polito of BARTON FINK, MILLER'S CROSSING) will now summon them all to an orgy of the undead and unleash the ultimate depravity for those who do not heed the warning of HAECKEL'S TALE. Directed by John McNaughton in association with horror legend George A. Romero, this startling mix of erotic desire and gut-ripping horror is adapted by series creator/executive producer Mick Garris from the short story by Clive Barker. My Thoughts: This is another episode I like a lot. Is a fun... yet interesting (if not somewhat sick) story. The effects and make-up are well done. And this one does have it's share of gore in it. As with all the season 1 episodes this release has good quality and a lot of extras to enjoy. For those interested... here is the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uq3fGkvtBM (From Masters of Horror Marathon on May 29th, 2008) Trinity Is Still My Name!, a review by DJ DoenaApril, 15th Synopsis: Although Trinity promised his brother to go the other way, he follows him through the desert until they meet again at their parents's house. Bambi has to promise to make an honest horse-thief out of Trinity and he really tries. In the next town they pretend to be secret federal agents and get "bribed" by the local gangsters to "look the other way". But where money is that easy to be made there must be more money to be made... My Opinion: I started to watch this right after They Call Me Trinity (From DJ Doena's movie watchings 2009 on April 15th, 2009) Tom's Random Reviews, a review by TomTitle: Cheers: Season Eleven Year: 1992 Director: James Burrows Rating: NR Length: 648 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: Stars: Ted Danson as Sam Malone Kirstie Alley as Rebecca Howe Rhea Perlman as Carla Tortelli John Ratzenberger as Cliff Clavin Woody Harrelson as Woody Boyd Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Frasier Crane George Wendt as Norm Peterson My Thoughts: Cheers is one of the comedy series I always enjoyed. In the mid-90s, this series was first shown on German television (not counting the airing of the first 13 episodes in the 80s with different dub on public television) in the "great" time slot some time after midnight. I always made sure to tape the show to watch it the next day. My favorite characters are Norm and Cliff. The most annoying character is Rebecca (Kirstie Alley). Highlight in this final season for me is the last Bar Wars episode, where Gary (Cheers' nemesis) is tricked to demolish his pub. And of course the final episode.
