My Thoughts:
This is part of a box set that contains the first 4 movies in the series. It is a fun movie. There is a lot of laugh out loud moments. Though I must admit that I remember it being a little better then what it actually is. While I did laugh at most of the jokes... some of them did fail. Rodney the guinea pig was a lot of fun. And I liked the drunk monkey. I felt the main storyline with the tiger was good... but think it could have been a little better... as my attention did drift a little here and there. But over-all it is one I would recommend for some family fun. Being the first movie in the set I am surprised at how little extras is added. I would definitely liked to of seen a few more things added.

Armageddon, a review by addicted2dvd

Weekend Movie Marathon
Outer Space
This weekend I will be leaving my comfort zone way behind as I decided to take a trip into Outer Space. This is something that I like now and then... but not something I ever attempted a marathon of since I do tend to tire of the subject matter after a little while. In this marathon I will be watching movies that takes place in Outer Space. I am counting things that take place up there for about half the film and more. I will also be adding in a couple chapters of an old Movie Serial in between each movie. This time I have chosen the serial "Radar Men from the Moon" I thought it would go nicely with the subject matter of this marathon... with an added bonus that I have never seen it before. So this weekend I decided to watch...

Armageddon
From the blockbuster-making team who produced and directed 'The Rock' comes the biggest movie of 1998 - 'Armageddon'! Starring the explosive talents of Bruce Willis ('Die Hard'), Academy Award winners Ben Affleck ('Good Will Hunting') and Billy Bob Thornton ('Sling Blade'), Liv Tyler ('Inventing the Abbots'), Steve Buscemi ('Con Air') and Will Patton ('Inventing the Abbots'), 'Armageddon' is a meteor storm of action-adventure moviemaking that has you on the edge of your seat forgetting to breathe!

When NASA's executive director, Dan Truman (Thornton), realizes the Earth has 18 days before it's obliterated by a meteor the size of Texas, he has only one option - land a ragtag team of roughneck oil drillers on the asteroid and drop a nuclear warhead into its core. Spectacular special effects, laugh-out-loud humor, great characters, riveting storytelling and heartfelt emotion make 'Armageddon' an exhilarating thrill ride you'll want to experience like there's no tomorrow.

My Thoughts:
Ok I figured this one takes place in space there about half the movie so I would include it. This is a movie I have always enjoyed. I have heard a couple things online about this movie... about half the people seem to hate it. Or as I have been reading a lot lately is that people are enjoying it although it is awful heavy on US patriotism.  And even though I never really thought about it before I can see their point about the patriotism. Lets face it... this is a movie you can't take too seriously. I mean this is little more then a leave your brain checked at the door pop-corn movie. You have some real characters in this movie. In my opinion it is just fun to watch... no more and no less.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Caroline in the City Marathon, a review by Tom

Caroline and the Opera (1995-11-09)
Writer: Marco Pennette, Fred Barron, Dottie Dartland, Carol Gary
Director: Tom Cherones
Cast: Lea Thompson (Caroline), Eric Lutes (Del), Malcolm Gets (Richard), Amy Pietz (Annie), Jean Stapleton (Mary Kosky), Peter Krause (Peter Welmering), Tom La Grua (Remo), Lauren Graham (Shelly)

Peter Krause (Sports Night, Six Feet Under) guest stars as a classmate from Caroline's old High School. She invites him to the opera because Del doesn't want to go. Del gets jealous and both men compete over Caroline.
A rather funny episode.

Caroline and the Balloon (1995-11-16)
Writer: Bill Prady
Director: Tom Cherones
Cast: Lea Thompson (Caroline), Eric Lutes (Del), Malcolm Gets (Richard), Amy Pietz (Annie), Florence Henderson (Herself), Lauren Graham (Shelly), Michael Burger ("Parade Announcer"), Maty Monfort ("Parade Announcer"), Joel Miller (Peter), Marlon Archey (Captain Markham), Brian Hargrove (Crowd Member)

Caroline has a balloon of her comic strip at the Thanksgiving parade and it gets loose.
Not a very good episode.
One thing that really bothered me:
I do not have anything against "stunt casting". I liked the cameo appearences of our beloved Friends and Frasier characters. But when they bring in a celebrity playing themselves and doing something which would never happen, I have a problem with it. Here, one of the characters is a big fan of the "Brady Family". So they convince Florence Henderson (Mrs. Brady) to come visit Caroline at her apartement to cheer her up. Like that would happen!

This finishes off the first disc of the set.
