As the city faces the worst heat wave in 150 years, the municipal workers go on strike and the garbage begins to pile up. As it slowly leaks into the street, rats begin to crawl out from under the concrete and the shadows, searching for food. But this is a new, faster breed of rodent, and soon, they are everywhere - creeping out of toilets, into beds and over tables. And if the infestation of fat gray masses isn't terrifying enough, it's soon discovered that the rats are carring a horrible virus, which makes then almost impossible to exterminate - and deadly to humans.

My Thoughts:
This is a movie I got very cheap on sale ($3.19) back in October when I was buying movies for my October Marathon. I never got around to this one at that time. Luckily I didn't pay too much for this one... as I really didn't care too much for this one. It just didn't keep my attention very much. I don't know that it is... but it felt like I was watching a TV Movie. While there was a couple good scenes in it... this movie is so slow that I really struggled to keep my attention on the movie. But it really wasn't meant to be. About an hour into the movie I was so bored I had to turn it off. For those couple good scenes I will give this movie 1 star... but I can't bring myself to do any better then that as it was just too boring.

No stopping for a ruby in India...



Gandhi was not a ruler of nations, nor did he have scientific gifts. Yet this small, modest man did what others before him could not. He led an entire country to freedom - he gave his people hope. Gandhi, the man of the century, is explored in this breathtaking, unforgettable motion picture.

What an incredible film, learnt so much about the man and his life that I never knew before. Over 3 hours long this kept a very tired man awake until nearly 3 in the morning, but I'm not complaining. Whole-hearted recommendation and an experience to watch if you enjoy biographical epics. 7/10

Battlestar Galactica (1978)



What's the show about?
After the destruction of the twelve colonies of Kobol the last remaining Battlestar, the Galactica, and a fleet of 220 ships are on the search for a refuge to go to, the thirteenth colony of Kobol: Earth.

"Saga of A Star World"
After a thousand years of war against the Cylons a peace treaty is negotiated. But the Cylons and their ally Baltar only want to put the colonials into a fals sense of security. The fleet and the colonies are completely unprepared when the Cylons attack and subsequently lose the battle and the war. The only surviving Battlestar is the Galactica under the command of commander Adama. They have not choice but to leave the colonies and take the survivors with them. Where? To the lost thirteenth colony of Kobol: Earth. But they do not know where exactly Earth is located...

My Opinion
I liked the old show because of their characters and the models. I still think that the old Galactica and the Cylon Raiders look better that the re-imagined ones. They were a good crew but now I like the new one better.
