My Thoughts:
I just finished watching this one with my brother. It has been many years since I saw this movie. I actually forgot how much I enjoyed it! Sure there was some slow scenes in it... but even they kept me interested in the story. My mind didn't drift at all during the film. If there was anything I would have liked to have seen differently it is how the film ended. While I understand why it ended the way it did... and even enjoyed the way it ended.... I think I would have preferred it to end the opposite way. But if it did... it would have changed the entire second movie. We enjoyed watching this one so much this morning that as soon as it was over... my brother and I popped in the second film in the series. I highly recommend it!

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Star Trek: First Contact, a review by DJ Doena

Star Trek: First Contact

Patrick Stewart ... Captain Jean-Luc Picard
Jonathan Frakes ... Commander William Riker
Brent Spiner ... Lt. Commander Data
LeVar Burton ... Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge
Michael Dorn ... Lt. Commander Worf
Gates McFadden ... Commander / Dr. Beverly Crusher
Marina Sirtis ... Commander Deanna Troi
Alfre Woodard ... Lily Sloane
James Cromwell ... Dr. Zefram Cochrane
Alice Krige ... Borg Queen
Michael Horton ... Lieutenant Daniels
Neal McDonough ... Lieutenant Hawk
Marnie McPhail ... Lieutenant Eiger
Robert Picardo ... Emergency Medical Hologram
Dwight Schultz ... Lieutenant Reginald Endicott Barclay III

The Borg are attacking the Federation and Earth again and the fleet can't stop them. But then Picard finds a way to destroy the Borg Cube. At this moment a Borg Sphere can escape and it opens a tunnel into the past, to destroy the Federation before it was even founded. The Enterprise has no choice but to follow and try to prevent it.

My opinion:
While I Picard's mourning in 7 didn't felt believeable, I had no problem believing his hatred. I also thought it to be a good idea that he got out of it with the help of classic literature which is a known hobby of Picard's. I don't know if it's a coincidence but movies that are based directly on the events of the series (II and 8) use Moby Dick as a basic plotline.
It was also nice to see how image and reality clashes when it comes to Cochrane.

Smallville Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Season 6: Disc 2

4. Arrow
While attending a fundraiser, Lois witnesses the Green Arrow steal a rare diamond necklace off Martha's neck and vows to find the man behind the costume.

My Thoughts:
Good episode... this is the first real look at The Green Archer. was a fun episode... though I have to admit I was expecting a little more for his introduction. Basically it was good... but I was expecting great.

5. Reunion
As teenagers, Lex and Oliver went to the same prep school, where Oliver and his friends bullied Lex and his friend Duncan. Lex eventually turned on Duncan to gain their acceptance, prompting Duncan to throw himself off the roof. Lex and Oliver return to the school for a reunion and are startled when Oliver's old pals are killed in violent and mysterious accidents that point to Duncan.

My Thoughts:
Funny... I remember when this one first aired that I wasn't to impressed with it... but now seeing it on DVD... I found I enjoyed it much more then I did on it's original run. I found it to have a little feel of a haunted house/ghost type story... as they lead you to believe it was possible at first. Definitely enjoyed it better the second time around!

6. Fallout
Clark is thrilled when he learns Raya managed to escape from the Phantom Zone and has come to see him in Smallville. The two grow close and Raya shows Clark how to restore power to the Fortress of Solitude. However, Baern, a killer who also escaped from the Phantom Zone, takes on both Raya and Clark as he seeks revenge for his imprisonment.

My Thoughts:
This one was a good episode.... not only does Clark go against one of the freed phantoms... but also learns more about his father... his home planet and how to bring back the Fortress of Solitude from Raya. enjoyed every minute of this one.

Disc 2 Extras:

Smallville Legends: The Oliver Queen Chronicles
A short 6 episode animated feature to tell the history of The Green Arrow. Was a lot of fun to watch... really enjoyed it.

The Making of Smallville Legends: The Oliver Queen Chronicles
Decent featurette... but nothing I would watch again... but was a fairly cool watch for one time.

Smallville Legends: Justice and Doom
This was pretty cool...made up to look like an animated comic book... but I lost interest pretty fast since I am a fairly slow reader... it got pretty boring to me having to pause it every several seconds so I could read the speech bubbles. Only ended up watching the first episode (was divided in 5 parts).

Deleted Scenes'
had a single deleted scene for 2 of the 3 episodes on this disc... a deleted scene for Arrow and Fallout. Nothing that surprises me that it was cut... but still nice to have as an extra.
