X-Men 2, a review by DragonfireMy Thoughts This is a wonderfully entertaining movie and one of the few sequels that is stronger than the original. I love that Nightcrawler is introduced even though I was still irritated that Gambit was left out again. There is a small reference to Gambit in one scene that is easily missed. There are all sorts of interesting things tied to Logan/Wolverine's past shared that I really enjoyed. I also liked how the movie was setting up things to cover the Phoenix story from the comic books. The plot works very well and is entertaining. The main plot is resolved while some things are also left for the next movie. The cast all fit their characters well. There is a good amount of action and a few humorous moments throughout the movie. I did get a review posted on Epinions back after seeing the movie in the theater. My Thoughts: The sequel to Johnny Tsunami. This one starts out a bit on the slow side... so the first quarter of the film I wasn't sure how much I was going to enjoy it. But as the story went on and more of the extreme sports was shown the more I got into it. Turned out it had a very good story and a lot of fun to watch. Found myself wishing I could try some of the things in this film... but I know full well at my age my body just couldn't take it... I would end up killing myself. Bachmann (Charlie), Robert Lee (Man #2), Inger Jackson (Woman #2) I have now finished this series and I have to admit, that I enjoyed it more than expected. I enjoyed all seven seasons and never got bored with it. I had feared that the series will end on a cliffhanger, because I had read that fans are not happy with the finale and that there was trouble with the network and the series got cancelled earlier than planned. But I have to say, that I am satisfied with the way that the series ended. (click to show/hide) Rating: (From Tom's TV Finales marathon on November 2nd, 2013) |
