All Aboard, a review by addicted2dvd

All Aboard
A father spirits his daughter away from suitors until one stows away on their boat.

My Thoughts:
This is the first thing I ever seen with Harold Lloyd. Not bad. I wish they could have cleaned it up some more. But to be fair the film is 100 years old. I like how on these silent era shorts a lot can be understood with little use of words.

My Thoughts:
This is another movie I haven't seen until now. I wanted to watch this one with my daughter... but she wouldn't have any part of this one for some reason. But I still enjoyed it quite a bit... even if I did have to watch it on my own. The father being an artist/inventor did make him out to be a bit out there... but I guess he had to be where the story had to go. I really liked Anna Paquin in this early role... probably one of her first roles... as the teen age girl that had to fly the geese south for the winter. I really became a fan of hers after seeing her in the Showtime series True Blood. So it is pretty cool seeing her in such an early role. I also liked Dana Delaney as the father's girlfriend. As I said... I really enjoyed this one. A real feel good type movie.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 1

1. City Of
Newly arrived in Los Angeles, Angel is befriended by a half-demon named Doyle who visions lead him to a powerful vampire whose next victim just may be Cordelia Chase.

Guest Stars:
Tracy Middendorf
Vyto Ruginis
Christian Kane

My Thoughts:
I remembered when I first heard Angel got his own spinoff... I was concerned it wouldn't be any good. But I was pleasantly surprised. I actually enjoyed it a lot. I also liked that they brought Cordelia over. At this point she is still pretty prissy... but they do change that as this show goes on. Her character definitely grows up quite a bit during this show. The pilot episode is a lot of fun. I really liked towards the end when Angel comes to the mansion to save Cordelia... and when he shows up Cordelia comes out with... "You don't know who he is".... "Oh Boy... You are going to get your ass kicked!" LOL. Some reason I love that line every time I see it.
