My Thoughts:

On one hand I felt this to be a good but weird film... on the other hand I felt the same about the games so this does help make it a good homage to the games. I found it to be enjoyable... worth the time put in to watch it. But also found it to be a but on the slow side. Not the worst movie off of a game I have seen... but not the best either.

Captain America: The First Avenger, a review by Achim

Captain America. The First Avenger

I made a point of seeing Captain America in 2D. Only by making a choice like that we can stop the madness

I quite liked it. I thought they tried hard to walk around the pitfalls that come with a film about a superhero whose name has America in it. I am not easily offended by such things but still noticed how toned down it felt.

I quite enjoyed the origins story in this one; I was not aware that Captain America was/is a man-made superhero. My favorite actor in this was Stanley Tucci as the German scientist who escaped the Nazis to created the program that would create Captain America. Tony Stark's father was pretty much just like him

The best special effect must have been to make Chris Evans so skinny.

While this movie plays during the second world war, it does tie in with the upcoming The Avengers movies. Strongly looking forward to that now.

My Rating: (a weak)

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

The A-Team

What's the show about?
The A-Team is a former Vietnam War commando unit that is accused of commiting a crime they didn't commit. While on the run from the US military they help out people who are threatened by criminals.

"Mexican Slayride"
A good friend of the reporter Amy Allen disappears in Mexico. She tries to get in contact with an elite commando, called The A-Team. They are supposed to be soldiers of fortune but they are very hard to find. But she finds them and they agree to Mexico...

My Opinion
It's a 80s classic show. Practically every episode is based upon the same basic plot, but it's a fun show to watch - at least until they slightly changed the concept in the fifth season where the show went harder - and was cancelled. In germany the show still runs every weekend on free TV.
