Plot:
In 2035 A.D., robots are programmed to live in perfect harmony with humans and have become part of everyday life on Earth. When a brilliant scientist at the U.S. Robotics Corporation is found dead, Chicago Detective Del Spooner (Will Smith) is called in to investigate. Aided by robot psychologist Dr. Susan Calvin (Bridget Moynahan), Detective Spooner uncovers the possibility that a robot may be the primary suspect in the case. But as Spooner gets closer to the truth, he gets caught up in a race for his life, when robot intelligence attempts to shut down his investigation. With time running out, a deeper threat emerges from the core of a mechanized world that challenges the very existence of mankind.

Essentially this could have been a real fun action popcorn movie, but I cannot get over the cheap looking special effect. There is not a moment where I couldn't forget that they were acting in front of a green screen. There were a lot of moments where the actors just didn't really match with the background (lighting etc.).
Alan Tudyk (Wash from Firefly) is "playing" the robot Sonny. A fun surprise to see here was Chi McBride as Will Smith's boss, who is the guy who played Emerson Cod in Pushing Daisies.

Plot:

Terminally nerdy Dizzy Harrison (Qualls) is routinely laughed at, ridiculed and picked on. His senior year is nothing but an exercise in pain and torture. So Dizzy decides to change his luck. After purposely getting expelled from school, he enrolls in a rival high school with a new look, a new story and a completely new attitude. I haven't watched this one in a long while. It is in my collection because of Eliza Dushku. Even though it somewhat fun movie and has a nice premise, I remembered it being a little better. Eliza Dushku's role is rather small. I would preferred to have seen a little more of her. Though we saw her in various Bikini models in one montage scene which is totally unrelated to the plot.
But it was very nice to see Zooey Deschanel here.

Sliders Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

1. PILOT (Double Length Episode)
A physics accident sends student Quinn Mallory and his trio of companions on an interdimensional roller-coaster ride to an apocalyptic San Francisco. After a narrow escape from an icy death, the Sliders find themselves in a Soviet-ruled U.S., where their only hope of escape is to free an imprisoned revolutionary.

My Thoughts:
This is a very good story. I enjoyed every second of it. It is a good introduction to all the characters. And the ending is well thought out where you think everything is going to be fine... then everything is turned upside down in a shocking and emotional way.

My Rating:

2. FEVER
When Wade is infected with a deadly virus on an Earth wracked by an epidemic, Rembrandt and Arturo race to find a cure and free Quinn from a Gestapo-like health agency.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode... I enjoyed a lot. This one shows that something that is simple and taken for granted can be life changing in one of the alternate universes.

3. LAST DAYS
The salvation of a world facing destruction by an asteroid rests in the hands of Arturo and an overzealous young scientist. Meanwhile, Quinn and Wade begin to face their feelings for each other.

My Thoughts:
Another episode I enjoyed a lot. I always enjoyed the disaster type movies with such storylines... and they did a good job converting it to a TV episode. This episode completes the first disc. The extras on this disc includes previews and a commentary on the pilot episode.
