A classic fairy tale Snow White gets a modern make over in the enchanting MIRROR MIRROR. In a kingdom far away an evil queen (Julia Roberts, Eat Pray Love) has taken control of the land and has her eyes set on the young, handsome Prince Alcott (Armie Hammer, The Social Network). Aided by witchcraft and her bumbling assistant Brighton (Nathan Lane, Mouse Hunt) she plans to steal his heart. The only thing standing in her way is her beautiful stepdaughter Snow White (Lily Collins, The Blind Side). Banished to the dark forest Snow White enists the help of seven outlaw dwarves who vow to help her take back her kingdom and break the spell cast over her beloved prince. Lavish, magical and hilarious, MIRROR MIRROR is romance and adventure at its most spectacular.

I heard not so good things about this movie, but I am pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed this movie. A nice retelling of the Snow White story.

My Thoughts:
This is another movie I haven't seen in quite some time. It is definitely not the best shark movie out there... but it is enjoyable for what it is. A good way to waste a couple hours. There is a bit of blood in this one... especially with the way it spreads through the water... and a little bit of gore as well. But nothing too extreme. It isn't one I would watch often... but I can see watching it again at some point. It is worth checking out... but don't get your hopes up too high.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Writer: Samuel A. Peeples (Writer), Gene Roddenberry (Original Characters By)
Director: James Goldstone
Cast: William Shatner (Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock), Gary Lockwood (Lt. Comdr. Gary Mitchell), Sally Kellerman (Dr.Elizabeth Dehner), George Takei (Sulu), James Doohan (Scott), Lloyd Haynes (Alden), Andrea Dromm (Yeoman Smith), Paul Carr (Lt. Lee Kelso), Paul Fix (Doctor Piper)

Instead of watching the (at the time) unaired pilot with a different crew, or watching the first episode ever aired, I decided to watch the episode which is the second pilot after the crew has been recast with the now familiar crew. Even though this episode is the third episode aired.
This episode has the crew still wearing the uniforms from the first pilot instead of the familiar gold, red and blue uniforms. Also McCoy is still missing. Instead we got another doctor.
I enjoyed this episode. It already shows the potential of the series.
