My Thoughts: I bought this because of Piper Perabo. But I never really had the urge to watch it because I was expecting a kind of movie that I wouldn't really enjoy. But I was positively surprised. I really enjoyed the movie in all the scenes which are set outside the bar. A nice, even though unoriginal, story about a singer-songwriter wanting to make it big in the city with a nice romance thrown in. I am glad that this movie was not all about the bar "Coyote Ugly" as I had feared.Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on May 17th, 2011) Police Academy 6: City Under Siege, a review by Dragonfire
This is one of the weaker movies in the series, though I still managed to enjoy it..a little. I remember liking it more when I first saw it when it came out. The plot has some potential, but it ends up being rather weak. There are some funny moments, but not enough. Things are predictable and the jokes don't work as well. The characters aren't developed that much and nothing new is added to the returning characters. The movie is ok, but far from great. I did get a review posted on Epinions. I found it to be slow and boring for the most part. I also found who the girl was as being pretty obvious... I figured it was something like that early on into the episode. My Rating: Last couple in a row I wasn't very impressed with... I hope it picks back up here soon! (From "Due South" marathon on July 15th, 2009) |
