Second horror movie in a row and another that didn't disappoint.

The voodoo swamps of Louisiana sets the scene for this movie of a dead man who gets possessed by the many dark souls of many evil and murderous killers.

Excellent scenes of gore, many creative kills and very good acting (for a horror flick!) made for an enjoyable movie.

This movie fooled me however. It's set in Louisiana and yet there was a scene where a train goes by with CN Rail printed on the sides of the cars so I thought AHH!, filmed in Canada! I checked the filming locations on IMDB and it told me that all the locations were in or around New Orleans. I figured that can't be right. Sitting here stumped for awhile I decided to check out the CN Rail website and lo and behold CN Rail does in fact travel to New Orleans, one of North America's largest ports! As if!!  I had no idea.

Great movie and worthy of a recommendation. Check it out if you haven't already.

Plot:
A college student finds a canister in his uncle's attic that contains a drug more potent than Ecstasy. When word of the drug, nicknamed "Z" for its Zombie-like hallucinogenic effects, reaches unscrupulous college drug dealer Skeet, he hatches a plan to sell the drug to ravers attending the ultimate rave party. But when the drug's side effects start to kick in, the ultimate rave turns into the ultimate grave as party goers drop to their death...then rise again to feed!

My Thoughts:
This is the fifth movie in the Return of the Living Dead series... and unfortunately it shows it. Even though I did enjoy this movie... it is just not up to par with the other 4.  I was nervous when I bought the 4th one (Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis) but ended up enjoy that one very much.... so that ended up giving me a little false hope that it would continue to be so. But unfortunately for me... this is the movie where the series ultimately went down hill. I did enjoy it enough where if there ends up being another one I will give it a chance... but I won't be expecting much from it. The only extras on this disc is a collection of trailers.

Synopsis: Set in the early 1980s this is about three employees of a IBM PC clone manufacturer company who want to build a new kind of PC.
They start off reverse engineering the IBM BIOS and then go from there.
These three people are very different and yet excellent at what they do.

My Opinion: The real life's history of the show's name can be read on Wikipedia.
In the beginning I was a bit hard for me to actually care about the characters.
They appeared to be cardboard cutouts for Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak from Apple and an Angelina Jolie's Acid Burn from Hackers thrown in the mix.
But after a few episodes they really grew on me and towards the end of the first season I truly wanted them to succeed.
And it's very nostalgic to see them fight over every kilobyte of memory whereas nowadays? "8 gigs are too slow? OK, put in 16 gigs!"
