I've watched the pilot of The Following and don't have any intention to continue. Not comparable at all, IMHO.

The "Marathon" reviews / Re: Never Ending Movie Marathon (short reviews)

You're being far too generous. But then you probably have a higher tolerance for these kind of movies than I do. I was seeking this out after being surprised by Reckoning, but it fits much more into the mold of its predecessors, at least as much as I remember them. Btw, where did you get the father-son thing? IMDb doesn't back it up, unless I overlooked something.

(3D Steelbook)

Maybe the biggest surprise for me last year. Didn't expect any of these suddenly to be good. Btw, not sure which release you've got, but a lot of them (including the US ones) are cut. Although, since you work with dvdcompare.net, you probably know that.

TV Series / Utopia (2013 UK Series)

Wikipedia

Started last week on Channel 4. Almost skipped it because a conspiracy thriller involving a comic book graphic novel didn't sound too appealing to me. After just watching the pilot, I'm glad I didn't, though, because it's nicely weird and stylish in a very f**ked up way. Also, is this the first TV series in 2.40:1?

Conversations with Other Women (2005)
...
An exceptional film that is an absolute must-see. 4.5/5

Glad you liked it.
For a very different approach to that split screen thing try Bruce McDonald's The Tracey Fragments some day.

Can't say I was ever curious about this one. I did watch Starz' Camelot, which was pretty disposable, but at least had Eva Green and nudity.

It started out meh and got worse with each new episode. I gave up after the third. Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio singing at the end of the pilot was the only good thing about it:
