Year: 1990

Rating: R
Length: 84 Min.

Stars:

Plot:
Andy Barclay has been placed in a foster home after the tragic events of the first film, since his mother was committed. In an attempt to save their reputation, the manufacturers of Chucky reconstruct the killer doll, to prove to the public that nothing was wrong with it in the first place. In doing so, they also bring the soul of serial killer Charles Lee Ray back to life. As Chucky tries to locate Andy, the body count rises. Will Andy be able to escape, or will Chucky succeed in possessing his body?

My Thoughts:
I watched this one on Encore On-Demand. I watched it many years ago when it was first released... but this is the first time since. I liked it quite a bit. Maybe not quite as much as the first one... but close to it if not. I like how it seemed to take place shortly after the first one ended. One of these days I will have to add this one to my DVD Collection.

My Rating
Out of a Possible 5

Scary Movie 4, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: Scary Movie 4
Movie Count: 5
TV Ep Count: 1
Time Started: 6pm
Plot:
The 'Scary Movie' gang is back for their funniest, most fearless installment yet, featuring an avalanche of hysterical celebrity cameos, including Carmen Electra, Charlie Sheen, Dr. Phil, Shaquille O'Neal, and Lil' John, plus many more fun surprises! This time, the lovable, dim-witted Cindy (Anna Faris) and her overheated pal Brenda (Regina Hall) return to help clueless hero Tom (Craig Bierko) save the world from a ruthless alien invasion. In true 'Scary Movie' tradition, the story weaves through a series of hilarious and twisted parodies of movies like 'War of the Worlds', 'The Grudge', 'The Village', and 'Saw'. In 'Scary Movie 4', nothing - and we mean NOTHING - is off limits!

My Thoughts:
Another one that was a complete blind buy. But wasn't too concerned since I liked the other 3 in the series. This horror spoof was much more of what you got with the last installment... I personally really enjoyed it. I thought it was cool how they weaved the main the movies together... spoofing War of the Worlds, The Grudge and Saw. It really was just plain fun to me.

01. The Freshman (1999-10-05)

Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Kristine Sutherland (Joyce Summers), Marc Blucas (Riley), Dagney Kerr (Kathy Newman), Pedro Balmaceda (Eddie), Katharine Towne (Sunday), Lindsay Crouse (Maggie Walsh), Mike Rad (Rookie), Shannon Hillary (Dav), Mace Lombard (Tom), Robert Catrini (Prof. Riegert), Scott Rinker (R.A.), Phina Oruche (Olivia), Denice J. Sealy (Student Volunteer), Evie Peck (Angry Girl), Anil Raman (Earnest Fellow), Jason Christopher (Nonserious Guy), Jane Silvia (Conservative Woman), Mark Silverberg (Passing Student), Walt Borchert (New Vampire)

As usual the season opener is one of the weaker episodes. But this one isn't as bad. I just find it curious, that Buffy had so much trouble fighting this rather average vamp.

02. Living Conditions (1999-10-12)
Writer: Marti Noxon (Writer)
Director: David Grossman
Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Dagney Kerr (Kathy Newman), Adam Kaufman (Parker Abrams), Clayton Barber (Demon 1), Walt Borchert (Demon 2), Roger Morrissey (Tapparich), David Tuchman (Freshman)

I never really cared for this episode. I didn't like the whole evil roommate storyline.
