The Seven Year Itch, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Marilyn Monroe as The Girl Tom Ewell [Tommy Ewell] as Richard Sherman Evelyn Keyes as Helen Sherman Sonny Tufts as Tom MacKenzie Robert Strauss as Mr. Kruhulik Oscar Homolka as Dr. Brubaker Plot:Extras:
My Thoughts: This is the very first Marilyn Monroe movie I ever seen. This one was recommended to my by a friend. Over-all I found it to be a fun watch. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Marilyn Monroe was definitely a beautiful woman. Though I must admit the way she talked will take a little getting used to. The way she does her voice... like she was trying to make every word of every sentence sound sexy. It just seemed a little strange. But this one is a fun comedy... well worth checking out. Now I am looking forward to watching the other movie I have with her in it... Some Like It Hot.My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From What Movies I Been Watching on February 9th, 2013) Hack! , a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Kane Hodder as First Victim Jay Kenneth Johnson as Johnny Travis Schuldt as Tim Gabrielle Richens as Sylvia Danica McKellar as Emily Justin Chon as Ricky Plot:Extras:
My Thoughts: This is a movie that is on a Triple Feature DVD called Gritty Horror Tales. I got this disc in a box of DVDs that a friend gave me. This movie has several familiar faces in it. Of course Kane Hodder who played Jason Vorhees in several of the Friday the 13th movies. Then there is Danica McKellar Who I am sure a lot of people would remember as Winnie Cooper on Wonder Years. any fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer knows the name Juliet Landau... she of course played the absolutely crazy vampire Drusilla. And finally there is Burt Young who played Paulie in all the Rocky movies.Watching this one... I was loving every minute of it. I was enjoying the storyline... loving all the horror film references... and it has some pretty decent killings/gore. Being such a lover of all things horror as I am.... I didn't think this was possible... but they crammed so many film references into this one that it just plain became too much. So much so that it just couldn't help but effect my rating. I still feel I enjoyed it quite a bit... but in this case a little less would have been more. I realize this was one of the main points of the storyline... but it got to the point that almost every killing and every other thing coming out of someone's mouth was a film reference. By the time I got to the last half hour of the movies I was thinking... Come on! Enough is enough! Other then that one problem though... I enjoyed it quite a bit. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unseen Horrors on July 24th, 2011) Tom's TV Pilots marathon, a review by Tom
Plot: College isn't the only thing he can't get into! How's a guy supposed to keep his nose in the books with so many sexy girls in his face? Keitaro moved to his grandma's apartment building to cram for a college entrance exam. Too bad nobody told him the complex is for ladies only and that he's the new manager! The job has some perks: girls frolicking in the hot springs all day and lounging in their naughtiest nighties all night. It's definitely gonna be tough for Keitaro to focus on studying - especially if one of his titillating tenants turns out to be his long lost love! From the man who quickened your pulse with Negima! and My Santa, it's Ken Akamatsu's classic - Love Hina! Love Hina 1.01 All-Girls Dorm with Outdoor Bath: Hot Spring (2000-04-19) I know someone who absolutely loves this series and the manga it was based on. It's the prototypical harem comedy. I never really got into it. It has some fun moments, but I always preferred "Ai Yori Aoshi" to this. Rating: (From Tom's TV Pilots marathon on June 7th, 2012) |
