The Search For Santa Paws, a review by dfmorgan

The Search For Santa Paws

Year: 2010
Director: Robert Vince
Cast: Kaitlyn Maher, Madison Pettis, Richard Riehle
Overview: In the tradition of Disney's classic holiday tales comes a heartwarming movie about the power of giving and the true meaning of Christmas. Discover how the legendary friendship of Santa Claus and Santa Paws began in the inspiring original film, The Search For Santa Paws.

When Santa and his new best friend, Paws, discover that the boys and girls of the world have lost the spirit of the season, they take a trip to New York City. But after Santa loses his memory, it's up to Paws, a faithful orphan named Quinn (America's Got Talent Kaitlyn Maher), her new friend Will (The Game Plan's Madison Pettis) and a wonderful group of magical talking dogs to save St. Nick and show the world what Christmas is really all about.

This Christmas, Disney invites you to meet Santa's BFF in an instant holiday classic, full of fun, adventure and a timeless message sure to delight the entire family!

Watched: 5th. Dec 2010
My Thoughts: Fairly standard Disney Christmas fare. Santa Claus, along with his new pet puppy Paws, visits New York but he is knocked over and loses his memory. A series of adventures and misadventures ensue until almost everyone has their Christmas enhanced and enriched.

My Rating: An enjoyable 3

Rachel Getting Married, a review by dfmorgan

Rachel Getting Married

Year: 2008
Director: Jonathan Demme
Cast: Anne Hathaway, Rosemarie DeWitt, Bill Irwin
OverviewWatched: 31st. Jul 2010
My Thoughts: hmmmm what do I say. I find this a strange film to write about here. Did I enjoy it? No. I found the whole environment grating, I honestly have to say that I hope I never go to a wedding with all that kerfuffle. Aspects of the wedding had no rhyme or reason like why all the Indian bits and bobs with the Indian meals, sari's for the bride and bridesmaids, Indian elephant shaped wedding cake flavoured with tumeric and using a kukri to cut the cake. Then the reception with about 10 different bands and performers. The cast came over well and must have put in good performances to get such a reaction.

My Rating: Can't say I really enjoyed it but it's better than a 2

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 2

16. Epiphany
Original Air Date: 2/27/2001
After an empty night of passion with Darla, Angel surprisingly wakes up with his soul still intact and has an epiphany. His moment of clarity brings him back to the land of the living and while he tries to reunite with his crew, Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn aren't ready to forgive him, even when their very lives are at stake.

Guest Stars:
Elisabeth Rohm
Christian Kane
Julie Benz

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. Enjoyed it quite a bit.  I am just glad Angel is back with his crew. It just didn't feel right when they were apart. Of course they haven't completely forgiven him yet... and he will pay some before it is all over. But at least he is back with them. I also liked Darla's reaction when she found out that Angel wasn't evil after their night together.
