The Matrix, a review by TomTitle: The Matrix Year: 1999 Director: The Wachowski Brothers, The Wachowski Brothers Rating: FSK-16 Length: 131 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35 Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1, German: Dolby Digital 5.1 Subtitles: Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish Stars: Keanu Reeves Laurence Fishburne Carrie-Anne Moss Hugo Weaving Gloria Foster Extras: My Thoughts: It has been some time that I have seen this movie. I still enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I just had to watch it, as this DVD is from 1999 and I wanted to check, if I need to upgrade this movie to Blu. I am relieved, that despite its age, the picture is okay. No need to upgrade just now.I belong to those who believe, that it would have been better to leave it with this movie. I don't like the sequels very much. I noticed this time around, that I could read the Matrix code if I wanted to. A lot of the characters used in it are mirrored katakana characters Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on April 6th, 2009) The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course: Special Edition Year: 2002 Director: John Stainton Rating: PG Length: 89 Min. But what they don't know is that the angry reptile has swallowed a top-secret U.S. satellite beacon, making them all targets of American special agents. Crikey! Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Gallery Production Notes Interactive Games Music Videos Closed Captioned "Croc Track" pop-up trivia My Thoughts: I never watched Steve Irwin on the Discovery Channel... but I did know who he was. The movie isn't bad.. it is silly.. and entertaining... but far from the best comedy I ever seen. Still it had enough chuckles for me to enjoy watching it. Though it isn't one I could see watching often. It has a pretty nice DVD release... with a good selection of bonus features. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Unwatched Comedies Marathon on March 11th, 2011) NCIS Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdNCIS: Season 4: Disc 4 13. SHARIF RETURNS Gibbs and the NCIS team scramble to locate 10 kilograms of highly toxic chemical weapons only to discover that they're in the possession of wanted terrorist Mamoun Sharif. My Thoughts: This is a good episode. Along with Sharif, Colonel Mann is back. This episode keeps your attention throughout the entire episode. Entertaining from beginning to the end. My Rating: 14. BLOWBACK Ducky goes undercover as a buyer of illegal weapons. Jenny appears to have a personal vendetta against the arms dealer known as "La Grenouille." My Thoughts: This one is pretty good... but not a favorite. I really found it to be more on the slow side then anything else. My Rating: 15. FRIENDS & LOVERS The NCIS team believes that a sailor found in an abandoned building was the victim of a drug overdose until they discover an ominous message written in blood. My Thoughts: This is a good... but a pretty standard episode. Pretty much a filler episode. Though I do like how they used McGee's new found fame to help them with a case. And the storyline of Tony's girlfriend moves along further as well. My Rating: 16. DEAD MAN WALKING A Navy lieutenant, the victim of radiation poisoning, wants the NCIS team to solve a murder - his own. My Thoughts: This episode is very good... Even after seeing this episode 4 times before... I still found myself glued to the TV watching this one. It is one of my favorites. It shows a softer side of Ziva.
