Camp, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Daniel Letterle as Vladimir 'Vlad' Baumann Joanna Chilcoat as Ellen Lucas Robin de Jesus as Michael Flores Steven Cutts as Shaun Vince Rimoldi as Spitzer Plot:Extras:
My Thoughts: I watched this one on Netflix. It is not one that impressed me. I found my mind wandering through-out the entire film. For the most part I was just bored watching it. Not one I will be adding to my collection... not one I can recommend. Rating: (From July Movie Marathon: Musicals (Yes... You read right!) on July 15th, 2016) Guardians of the Galaxy, a review by addicted2dvdGuardians of the Galaxy In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan. Stars: Chris Pratt as Peter Quill Zoe Saldana as Gamora Dave Bautista as Drax Vin Diesel as Groot (voice) Bradley Cooper as Rocket (voice) My Thoughts: This film is actually not scheduled to be released until today. But I guess some areas got to release it early as we were able to get tickets to see this one a little early. I went along with Danae Cassandra, her mother and a bunch of their work friends last night. Now let me start out by saying I never even heard of this until the trailer came out... so there is no way for me to compare this to the comics.... but as a viewer with no prior knowledge what so ever... I have to say I loved every minute of it! And I so can't wait to add the Blu-ray to my collection when released! When I first saw the trailer... I thought wow! that looks stupid! But boy, was I wrong! This is not a film if you are looking for some deep philosophical story-telling. This really is no more then a hilarious (yes I found it extremely funny!), fun, action packed sci-fi. It is a leave your brain at the door good time.... like all comic book films should be, IMHO. Rocket, the smart-ass intelligent weapon wielding raccoon stole the show! I absolutely loved that little guy! He was definitely my favorite character. Other then him I liked Groot... the living plant creature that hung around with Rocket. If you get the chance you really should see this one on the big screen. What with me being blind in one eye... I couldn't see the 3D film (Thankfully the gang was going to see the 2D version anyway!)... so can't comment on if it worth seeing in 3D either. But I definitely feel this one is worth the time put in to watch it. Even with it being up over 2hrs! Though, you wouldn't know it when watching it. The pace is so good in this film that the time just seemed to fly by! My Rating: (From Gaurdians of the Galaxy on August 1st, 2014) Charmed: The Complete Sixth Season, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Alyssa Milano as Phoebe Halliwell Rose McGowan as Paige Matthews Holly Marie Combs as Piper Halliwell Brian Krause as Leo Wyatt Dorian Gregory as Inspector Darryl Morris Drew Fuller as Chris Extras:
My Thoughts: This evening I finished off the 6th season. While this season has a lot of very good episodes in it... it don't have quite as many as the previous season. Drew Fuller is added to the main cast this season as Chris... a witch/whitelighter from the future there to save baby Wyatt from turning evil. Which is the main storyline for this season. Picking a favorite episode from this season is near impossible as I liked so many... but some of my favorites for this season include...1. Valhalley of the Dolls, Parts 1 & 2 10. Witchstock 13. The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell 14. I Dream of Phoebe 20. Witch Wars 21. It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World, Parts 1 & 2 Unfortunately there is no series related extras in this set. But the episodes themselves are more then worth the money you would have to pay for the set. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Addicted2dvd's Random TV Series Watched on April 18th, 2012) |
