My Thoughts:
I had watched this one a few times before with my family. But this time I watched it alone, because I wanted finally to see it with the original English audio track. I think it is a great movie. My favorite Disney iteration of the story. I saw the original animated film. And I saw the official (German) musical version on stage.
Will Smith does a very fun version of the Genie.

Holy Man, a review by KinkyCyborg

Holy Man

Title:Holy Man
Year: 1998
Director: Stephen Herek
Rating: PG
Length: 114 Min.
Video: Widescreen 2.35:1
Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1
Subtitles: English

Stars:
Eddie Murphy
Jeff Goldblum
Kelly Preston
Robert Loggia
Jon Cryer

Plot:
The always hilarious Eddie Murphy (Dr. Dolittle) stars with Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) and Kelly Preston (Jerry Maguire) in a refreshingly funny hit that elevates shopping to a near religious experience! A stressed-out senior executive at the Good Buy home shopping channel, Rick Hayman (Goldblum) is praying for a miracle that will lift the network's lousy ratings and save his job. Then, from out of nowhere, "G" (Murphy) walks into his life! An outrageous, self-styled inspirational guru with a knack for showing up where he isn't exactly wanted, "G" proceeds to wander in front of the cameras 'just long enough' to exude the irrestable star quality that will make him the sales-boosting savior Ricky's network has been looking for! Also featuring a host of well-known celebrities in a sidesplitting series of comic infomercials - you're bound to be another satisfied customer with nothing but praise for Holy Man!

Extras:
Scene Access
Closed Captioned

My Thoughts:

This wasn't bad with some entertaining bits. Eddie Murphy is actual pretty good in this one in an engaging, understated way. Jeff Goldblum on the other hand is quickly becoming my least favorite actor. This guy has like ZERO range. He looks, talks and acts the same way in every movie and now I am starting to notice how much he resembles a Vulcan. Kelly Preston is predictably sexy and gorgeous once again. ;)

Very average, very middle of the road.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman: Season 2
He catches bullets in his hand, snatches innocent citizens from the jaws of death, and zooms bombs, toxic chemicals and other deadly whatnot deep into outer space. But just when you think nothing can overwhelm Superman, love brings him to his knees.

Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher are back for the thrilling second season of new adventures. Action reigns as the Man of Steel unleashes chop-'til-you-drop martial arts moves to battle a mysterious Chi master, pits his mighty powers against the firepower of resurrected '30s mobster Al Capone, and mows down a perp walk of twisted-genius bad guys who challenge him with a lethal array of threats, theft, murder and mayhem. Super hero. Super action. You've got 'em both.

1. Madame Ex (9/18/94)
Lex Luthor is ended...but the malady lingers on. His vengeful ex-wife uses psychology, plastic surgery and Kryptonite! - in a devious plat to vanquish Lois Lane and Clark Kent.

My Thoughts:
A Good start to the new season... but it could have been better. It was only mildly entertaining. I did like that Denise Crosby had a minor roll in this episode. I have always liked her... since I seen her in the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

2. Wall of Sound (9/25/94)
A crook develops a sonic weapon that stuns citizens into slumberland. He even has a special frequency for Superman. Will Superman triumph, or is it time to say good night to the Man of Steel.

My Thoughts:
This is pretty much an average episode. There is really nothing here that is all that special. It is a good idea for a story... but I don't know... just feels like it could have been better.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

3. The Source (10/2/94)
A timid technogeek blows the whistle on corporate corruption. Lois gets the story, then gets a bad case of the guilts when she can't protect the whistleblower from corporate goons.

My Thoughts:
This one is a good episode. They had a lot going on in it... especially considering it is a normal length episode. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

4. The Prankster (10/9/94)
'Tis better to give than to receive. Lois accepts a series of booby-trapped gifts. The sender: an evil genius who spent five years in prisone, compliments of Lois' investigative reporting.

My Thoughts:
This one is a very good episode. I enjoyed every minute of it. Not only is it a good story it has a lot of laughs as well. This one has Bronson Pinchot guest starring as The Prankster... and I thought he did a great job with it.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5
