Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland Year: 1988 Director: Michael A. Simpson Rating: R Length: 79 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital Mono, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: Stars: Pamela Springsteen as Angela Tracy Griffith as Marcia Michael J. Pollard as Herman Mark Oliver as Tony Haynes Brooke as Bobby Plot:Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Gallery My Thoughts: Well... they at least they did keep the same actress to play Angela this time. This one is similar in style to the second one as well. Though it does seem like it is starting to run out of steam a bit... this one is enjoyable. Just not as much as either of the previous two. Unlike the previous couple though... most of the time when they did a killing they didn't actually show the gore. They cut away for some reason. But either way... it is definitely worth the time to watch it. And a nice selection of extras. Including a couple DVD Easter Eggs you can spend a little time looking for. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: 2/19 - 2/21 on February 19th, 2010) Planet Hulk, a review by addicted2dvd

My Thoughts: This is one I never seen before... but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Even though going into it In had my doubts... but it pulled me in pretty quickly. There was a couple things that seemed a little odd to me, but nothing that took away from the story. I would recommend checking it out.My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unwatched Discs on August 10th, 2013) Tom's TV Pilots marathon, a review by Tom
Plot: When a brash street kid from Philly moves to a Left Coast zip code even posher than 90210, cultures are sure to clash. But not to worry. The kid is Will Smith, and he'll have Bel-Air bustin' a move in no time! Smith was already a Grammy-winning rap artist when he shot to acting renown as the smart, wisecracking urban teen who's sent to live with wealthy relatives in an area so exclusive a former President drops in to share some Christmas cheer. This 2-disc DVD collection features lively bonus material plus all 24 Season-One Episodes, from Will's first day at the country club (which one is the fish fork?) to his first day at Bel-Air Prep School (sort of homeboy meets Harvard). When it comes to comedy, Fresh Prince rules! The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air 1.01 The Fresh Prince Project Writer: Benny Medina (Original Material By), Jeff Pollack (Original Material By), Andy Borowitz (Created By), Susan Borowitz (Created By), Andy Borowitz (Writer), Susan Borowitz (Writer) Director: Debbie Allen Cast: Will Smith (Will Smith), James Avery (Philip Banks), Janet Hubert (Vivian Banks), Alfonso Ribiero (Carlton Banks), Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Tatyana M. Ali (Ashley Banks), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey), Helen Page Camp (Margaret), John Petlock (Henry Furth) I can't help myself but always sing along with the opening theme. This series is nice, light-hearted fun. Will Smith will grow as an actor with this series until making his major break in motion pictures with Independence Day. Considering that this series was his first acting job, he did really great in the pilot episode, in my opinion. Rating: (From Tom's TV Pilots marathon on June 20th, 2011) |
